Peole who aren't residents of New orleans or Baltimore but try to imply they are by saying "Nawleans" & "BALLmore".
Media morons do this all the time and then laugh - at their own insipidness- like they said something clever!

Also, media idiots who affect a Boston accent when doing a story about the red sox etc..
nauseating

"Rocking" used as a hip slang word for "wearing."

As in, "Oooh, look at Mr. 1990s! He's rockin' that goatee!"

The phrase "going green" now has a phony odor to it.

Sorry to bring up "He does love his numbers" - but I'm still cheesed off that you got tickets to the concerts and I didn't... frown

I won't mention that the concert was sublime then. smile

"Keep Calm and ______" is getting on my nerves.

Lately I've been seeing Berkeley football fans wearing t-shirts that say "Keep Calm and Stay Golden" (referring to their school colors). I rolled my eyes.

The word "dynasty" is getting overused lately. (I kept hearing it in San Francisco after the Giants won the World Series.)

Douchebag also needs to die. Like "Gosh" instead of God, it's a euphemism thus false pretense thus it needs to go. If you talk a bit loud because you don't have the courage to shout, then shut it.

For the last quarter of a century t the word idiots has been shockingly redundant when referring to the media.
Then again the way that the expression "the media" has been used the past decade is also requested to take a rest for a long time.

Talk about something needing to just go away: hipsters. Love them or loathe them, you'd be mad not to loathe them.

I'm becoming fed up of reading sentences that open with "so". For example, "so I was at my best friend's wedding last week ..."

It's a storytelling trick that makes listeners think there will be some point made.

"Whateves." A recent variation on the Valley Girl "Whatever" (which also needs to go away)

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=whateves

Today's hipsters speak with an irritating "up and down"--for lack of a better term--cadence to their voices that just annoys the hell out of me and probably a lot of other people over 30.
