i LOVE the fact that this is skewed more heavily to the front half of the show's run. some very promising episodes included in here.

MV, when do we get some 50's and 60's scores coming our way from your label. SHANE was my favorite purchase from any label in 2012.

Sure do -- got one of them coming on Sept 24! smile

Could this be a Dimitri Tiomkin score ? When will a pre-order announcement be made ? Thanks MV.

If it's Tiomkin...then GIANT is a likely candidate.

GIANT would be great;as would THE GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL, THE HIGH AND THE MIGHTY, or THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA.

Besides GIANT my pick would be GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL. Tiomkin had his own special 'language' for Westerns...(Duel in the Sun anyone?).

You mention DUEL IN THE SUN. This has been my number one holy grail for so many years. It still is. No label that does re-recordings wants to tackle it because they feel it will not sell well. I heard this from Prometheus about two years ago. I am sure unfortunately that their minds have not changed.

Now when the summer has ended and the fall is taking over I was wondering about the upcoming Police Academy release. Can we expect this soon or will it be a late fall release?

MV previously posted that it's coming out in September, and with the September 10th titles now known, I'd expect September 24th. If there are any delays, than Oct 8 or 22 would be the most likely.

for tiomkin, let's not forget the wonderful Night Passage and Tension At Table Rock, two other scores that i would really like to see released.

Quick question LA LA LAND:

Any plans to release any more scores by Marco Beltrami after releasing Max Payne several years ago?

Would love to. No plans for the immediate future. He's mainly Varese territory.

MV

Well, there is still quite a few completely unreleased scores, unless those are just impossible to licence... from the top of my head:

xXX: State of the Union
Repo Men
Cursed
Red Eye
Walking Across Egypt
David and Lisa
Tuesdays with Morrie
V
13
The Invisible (probably Intrada is the only one who can get this one)
Jonah Hex
Amusement
Vikaren
Captivity
Angel Eyes
Highway 395
Death Match
The Florentine
54
The Incorporated
Texas Rangers (demos only)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (demos only)
...

+
Don't be afraid of the Dark
The Eye
My Soul to Take
Soul Surfer

+
The Faculty
Dracula 2000
Deep Water
Land's End

not to mention for example 3:10 to Yuma seems to be OOP and getting more and more expensive...
or maybe MAX PAYNE DeLuxe? smile

!!! And... is anyone actually releasing CARRIE? Still nothing has been announced...
and there are also The Homesman and Seventh Son on the way (but who knows when these will be actually released) and 1864, which should be something very special.

this would really be terrific to have two or possbly three tiomkin scores before the end of the year. let the guessing game begin. i say one score would almost surely be 'Giant' and the other Gunfight At The O.K. Corral.

All great ideas.

Carrie is spoken for

I think Soul Surfer came out (and maybe a few of the others)

And DON'T pay high prices for 3:10 to Yuma. Just say NO. smile

MV

PS No Max Payne DELUXE. smile

So 3:10 To Yuma is being re-issued (expanded?), but not by LLL?

Definitely seems like a tease to me.
