Believe it or not, this is what I picked up AFTER painfully removing a bunch of scores from my order:
ALIEN (2 CD) BACK TO THE FUTURE (2 CD) BERNSTEIN: THE AVA COLLECTION COCOON CONAN THE BARBARIAN (3 CD) THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY (2 CD) HOOSIERS ISLANDS IN THE STREAM NORTH BY NORTHWEST THE SHADOW (2 CD) SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER WIND AND THE LION (2 CD) YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES (2 CD)
Maybe I'll take out a 2nd mortgage or something.
Wanted a couple dozen others… was painful to let go of the following:
DRESSED TO KILL FALLING DOWN THE GREAT ESCAPE (may come back and get this one) HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER (already have the original) INCHON NIGHT CROSSING PATTON (already have the Patton/Tora Tora Tora double) THE SAND PEBBLES (already have the 1998 disc) SILVERADO (already have the original) TOMBSTONE (already have the original)
The sale sure "worked" on me. I buy so rarely, and now I'm snapping up as many as I can.
Does anyone have any idea why the discounted titles are jostling around positionally over the 3 odd pages where they're presented?
All the titles seem to have been set up to periodically move around within one page and also to move from page to page. The effect is slightly unsettling. I think it's been done to force you to continually search for some specific item of interest and keep you on your toes, so to speak. It's a great way to foster a sense that what you want might be gone soon, so better grab it now. It's a psychological carrot and stick, no less. If so, it's an interesting gimmick.
That's certainly not by design, I know that with the new site and the "sort by" title/price functions they often don't sort them on the back end as much, so the titles initially appear in sometimes random order. But if you select either "sort by title" or "sort by price" the order should lock in... in any event, the order shouldn't randomly resort page by page, so that some titles appear multiple times and others are always on another page and never appear.
Ok guys, I need an opinion. How is Sol Kaplan's Judith? The samples sound appealing, but I'm not really familiar with this composer outside of his Star Trek work. Is this worth a splurge at its current price?
Just ordered the Bernstein AVA set, Goldsmith's Night Crossing, Congo and The Shadow and Donaggio's Dressed To Kill, all for a total of $93. Hope I get them before I head off for vacation on the 16th...
I want to give a big THANKS to Intrada for having this sale. I was able to acquire all nine titles on my list. Now I don't have to worry about missing out on titles that might've sold out and I have lots of new music to enjoy. Cheers!
"Breakfast at Tiffany's" is temporarily sold out. Does it mean that we lost the chance to get it under discount?
Intrada must be having fun. If it's temporary I'd have thought it would be "out of stock." To be "temporarily sold out" is a contradiction in terms. But you're right, I wonder what it means?

Most sales always state for "in stock items only". It's out of stock on their end, but I assume they can press more. But it probably won't be "back in stock" until after the sale ends. That's my assumption.
