It will be JFK or Amistad, (maybe Seven Years in Tibet).....

Not "A.I."?

oops, a strong contender indeed, and a masterpiece....

I seem to remember someone saying that Stanley and Iris is already complete on CD. Besides, it's likely Varese territory (wouldn't be surprised to see it as an Encore)

I for one would like a complete version of every score John Williams ever wrote on my shelf >shrug<

It's not all gold, unfortunately. Williams can only do so much Americana, you know?

Eh, I want it all. Everything the man's ever done!

Though complete versions of the Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, etc scores are more desired, of course.

Especially The Lost World and Harry Potter 3. Those are my most wanted Williams.

Yeah, The Lost World would be great. Most expansions I'm in favor of are action films.

I've been listening to my OST+blu ray rips complete edit a lot lately. Its a master work from start to finish. Universal needs to let the labels work on another Williams title! 1941 was done perfectly by Matessino and La-La Land; We want more!

the Varese CD is far from being complete, unfortunately...

I don't believe any John Williams OST has ever been complete.

Saving Private Ryan comes close, though!

The Book Thief OST is not even remotely complete! The complete score is a 2 disc set.

I can say this right now:

Stanley and Iris is controlled by Varese in perp (I think Pressumed Innocent is as well)

Saving Private Ryan is so near complete it's not worth doing

JFK is pretty much complete. It was an odd score to record being that it wasn't scored to picture. It may happen some day, but I honestly do not know how to approach it.

How much music is there left from Sleepers? Tibet? Geisha? Enough to warrant an expanded release?

UME controls the JP scores. We tried but they didn't want to relinquish rights at the time.

On June 1 you will find out what it is

For Geisha - Absolutely! Out of everything you mentioned, that has the most amount of unreleased music. It's well worth pursuing, if its available!

You can't judge just from the film itself; A huge amount of alternates were written for this score.

Here is some more information:

As far as Geisha is concerned, I think there is enough material (along with alternates/revisions) to justify an expanded release..

there are at least 30-35 more cues unreleased, that aren't in the ost.

The score could easily take the space of 2 full discs..

By the way, a complete JFK score (without source cues) as used in the film is around 95 minutes. (and i don't think it has much tracked music)
The score in the ost, is around 44 minutes.
So, more than half of the score is still unreleased.
(although most of it is percussive cues, descriptive music, sustained dissonant chords etc.)

JFK is well worth expanding also. There's a lot of unreleased music.

It would be an interesting presentation. You could group the "recorded before filming" pieces together, and the "recorded to picture" cues together; or sprinkle the pre-recorded cues in between the film cues where appropriate, like they did on the Jupiter Ascending OST.

And then there's the additional music by tomanandy you could possibly include, not to mention the source cues that appeared on the OST (and the additional source cues that didn't). It'd be a complicated project, for sure, but one that I'm sure Matessino, for example, would be happy to undertake.

is THAT interesting to get 20 tracks of less-than-45 seconds to make a +90min 2-cd JFK release? really?

bring on AI!!
