BTW: I've noticed lately that a number of people are using Herrmann's whistling theme from TWISTED NERVE for, of all things, their cell phone ring tones! I'll be at the gym, toiling away at those machines, only to hear that whistling theme. I look around, and someone nearby is answering their cell phone. (At my gym, it seems everyone is on their cell phones, a lot of the time. They do a set on a machine, then sit there, checking the cellphone, and texting, in between every set they do. Crazy...)

Okay, just to be clear, the album copy from Kritzerland was 18 minutes long. The Stylotone (without bonus cues which are rehearsals or retakes) is 38 minutes. Stylotone wins. Wins WHAT?

The Kritzerland release, if I'm not mistaken, came from the UK EP master, and I believe it is mono. Stylotone's album was the first release of the full score, and it is in stereo. Did it come from the master or did was it a vinyl transfer?

The initial incarnation of Herrmann's Twisted Nerve was on one side only of a U.K. Polydor LP: The disc did not have any concurrent U.S.A. counterpart release, so this British LP was the only source until its contents were re-issued on CD via Kritzerland.

Stephen W: I assume James Nelson did a vinyl transfer with Twisted Nerve as it appears he had done just the same for the other Polydor-to-Kritzerland re-issues: John Mandel's The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea and (Patrick) John Scott's Rocket to the Moon
