Does anyone know if there's any updates on the LLL release of Voyager?

Also, does anyone have the one GNP Voyager release (GNPD 8041) that can comment regarding its quality?

Thanks in advance!

All I know is Enterprise should be coming first. I doubt we'll see the Voyager release until next year.

MV had made a comment a couple years ago that he'd prefer to do Enterprise before Voyager ,and true to the idea, Enterprise is due later this year. The last word I saw was that Enterprise was due this fall.

The GNP sound qaulity is nothing to write home about. I'd wait, I bet GNP isn't stopping and will do a deluxe edition of the pilot score sooner than later. If youy're really, really impatient, you can always trade for my copy used GNP copy. ;-)

Any thoughts as to when that Enterprise set will be coming out?

I was just listening to the DS9 set and got to thinking about the Voyager set arriving sometime in the nebulous future. I'm too excited for a box that doesn't have an official release date (yet announced) or a released tracklist.

Then again, considering what a great job the folks at La-La-Land and the composers themselves have done on the other Star Trek collections, I think I have rvery reason to be excited!

And don't include this, but apparently Jay was not a big fan of the episode "Fury" big grin

"box no. 41; folder no. 4; Episode 241 -- Fury -- Scores; Score -- Cue M55 Rev -- End To Pathetic Episode; 2000"
(source: Chattaway, Jay, Film Composer. Papers )

I laughed hysterically at that, but couldn't remember the title. I had to look it up. Oy. How on earth did that one get the green light? Then again, Unimatrix Zero was a bit of a polished turd too. And Tsunkatse. And Equinox. And numerous other episodes. I enjoy most of Voyager, but they had more duds than any Star Trek series up to that point.

Man, they really went all out on Dark Frontier. I think that's every cue from the score. Glad to see Scorpion represented, although the 8472 attack cue from Part II appears to be a no-show. Everything else worth having is there, though. Pretty good selection on the Chattway disc (Spirit Folk aside). Not blown away by most of the McCarthy or the Baillargeon selection but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. It's always fascinating to see how many individual cues make up a monster act-spanning cue (like the final act of Basics, Part II, included in full here).

Surprised Endgame isn't on there but they're probably saving it for Vol. 2

Holy Christ! All the major stuff from Scorpion! I'll finally be able to hear the teaser cue from Part II sans dialogue and sound effects! Everything from Dark Frontier?!

This looks to be everything I hoped the first set would be. Thank you, La-La-Land. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been obsessed with the music for Scorpion since it initially aired and I was just a wee lad. Nearly twenty years later, it's coming to CD. This is great.

I was hoping to get the music from the episode "11:59". Maybe Volume 2.

While I'm certainly picking this up, I was never a fan of the Captain Proton music for some reason? I absolutely love old movie serials and everything about them but I guess when I put in a Star Trek CD I'd rather hear Star Trek music?

That said, I've been going through VOY again on Netflix. Its great alternative to diazepam but some of the music is pretty good (just not as good as it was on Enterprise...)

This set definitely does look great.

I was hoping music from End Game but I do hope it'll be on the Volume 2 release. I'm not complaining just saying but everything else looks great. smile

I'll for sure be buying this baby the day of its release.

Thanks for posting that, Neil - this is the collection I've been waiting for with most anticipation since the later shows started coming out. Another first-day purchase for me as well.

It's a nice touch that Chattaway gets the first disc this time around (as opposed to McCarthy on the DS9 and Enterprise sets). As he wrote the premiere and finale scores, it's only fair.

This is a FANTASTIC set of cues. The Fan Favorites disc is truly my dream set.

I saw elsewhere someone suggested the You Are My Sunshine cue from Someone To Watch Over Me - +1 for that request
