HOLY CRAP! I'm so getting this when it's available for us online community!

I remember most Of the episodes from this forthcoming set - and the choices here are outstanding, particularly The Pegasus, Remember Me and Relics.

Thanks to everyone involved. This year, every label has seemed to entirely outdone themselves.

That which we are to receive, may we be truly grateful!

You know, I always loved the episodes themselves.

The Pegasus is an awesome story, tension, drama, mystery, intrigue, and a morality tale in one hour.

Relics is also a great unifying-the-trek-continuity story (dispite an oops from Generations about Kirk's fate), and a nice story for Scotty.

It'll be nice to own music from The Pegasus. It was one of my favorite TNG episodes. All though I'm a bit disappointed the full episode score for "Yesterday's Enterprise" didn't make it. Hopefully Volume 2 will contain that score. Yes there is material missing from "Yesterday's Enterprise".

I was gonna order MASADA next month but since this came to light it will be top priority.

We would love to do DS9 and Enterprise (for Brain's stuff alone).

TOS would be a dream come true.

Does anyone want Voyager? lol

MV

Yeah, I want Voyager as well... Give us everything Trek and I will write you some checks. How is that, MV?

I'll probably get this even though I can hardly recall a single note of TNG background scores (unlike the original series)....many episodes seemed to have very bland music going on and way too much talk. But this set looks like a good collection.

There were a lot of episodes that did have bland music, yes but then there were a lot that had kick ass music to it.

If you have the money to splurge I recommend you get the Ron Jones TNG set that FSM did. It's a hell of a set and definitely worth owning. Since it also contains the remaining music for Best Of Both Worlds you'll need to pick up the old GNP disc which is pretty cheap on Amazon.

After Ron Jones departed from the series, the quality of the music went down hill but the other composers did their best to provide good music. Of course a lot of it was hit and miss but as I said there were episodes where the music was really good. "The Pegasus" being one of them.

All I know is....Bruce has found a new enemy.

La-La-Land is crazy and tired-of-life to announce a new title.

They are going to ruin Kritzerland.

They should be in hell right now.

I will not order this out of pitifulness for Mr. K.

I hope with these sets, people will want to get the rest of the music and go for the FSM boxset. It really is a must have if you're a fan of the show and its music. I'm sure the la la sets will look nice alongside the FSM boxset smile

I agree that the FSM Ron Jones set is worth owning. Grant it is a lot to pay for but you basically get what you pay for.

When it was finally confirmed I was more than happy to plunk the cash down for the set. It was my birthday present to myself since it came out in September.

I think those who say the TNG music bland, need to rethink their stance and actually LISTEN to the music instead of going by what's heard in the episodes themselves. Hearing the music on its own is a lot better listening experience.

Is this supposed to be a joke? There are thousands of things being released that people will spend their money on other than buying one of Bruce's releases, or anyone else's for that matter. There are movies being released the same week... you boycotting those? Cars? DVD Players? Food? Comic Books? Etc...

This, "I won't buy because it's messing with someone else's release schedule" is nuts. There is no way all these companies could make each other happy with all that is being released these days.

Grow up.

but TOS cues are great in the episodes or standalone. If it didn't grab me on the show why would it on it's own? Besides....didn't they WANT more bland scores as a rule?

Of course it was a joke and - like Shaun's comment - regarding the angry postings Bruce K. wrote in the 'LA-LA-LAND IS THE CHOSEN ONE'-topic where he was mad at La-La because they announced new titles at the same time when he announced DRANGO.
You should read them. You really miss something wink

So what are you and Shaun actually trying to achieve here? More pointless banter? Why shouldn't I put you on my ignore list? Too late, I actually just did now.

I'll join crazy Jack and have a drink big grin

Why shouldn't I put you on my ignore list?

That is a rhetorical question, isn't it? wink

But okay, I do understand you: back to topic and no, I won't buy this release because the music doesn't interest me but I am happy for anyone whose dream came true.

I will buy this, but not until August as I won't be at Comic Con. I still need that Ron Jones box.
Some of my favorite episodes are on the LLL set; Darmok, The Inner Light, Elementary, Dear Data just to name a few. What a great time to be a film/tv music fan.

Put me down on a list for music from DS9, Voyager and Enterprise as well.

"Joking" or not (what a lame, sorry excuse), I only ever see you show up to comment if you have something negative to say or it means you have the opportunity to be a cynical, arrogant asshat.

That's what ignore lists are for, right?

Bye bye.

And while I am not familiar with TNG nor Star Trek *at all*, I'm definitely buying this for the music come August 2nd. Exciting release!
