I'm speechless... Never would have guessed such a release.

Must confess that my TNG appetite is sated with the GNP releases and the Jones box set. Still a marvelous release for those in the mood for more TNG - enjoy.

Like many others, I hope this opens a door for other STAR TREK sets, highest on the list would be TOS scores, but some of ENTERPRISE's later season scores would be an immediate buy.

Feelings best summed up with, "Keep 'em coming MV!"

GULP!

Never would have expected this. Thanks soooo much MV & LLL.

smile

Thank Ford, Mark and Lukas. This is really their labor of love. I'm merely the man who writes checks on this one. smile

MV

Sure! Thank you Lukas, Ford & Mark.

I'm a major junky for some more Star Trek scores.

wink

Yep. It's a nice set that's for sure. I'm just hoping that Brian Tyler's two scores for Enterprise can get released at somepoint, either on their own or part of a set.

Sure, put me down wink

I think there is enough great music in each Trek show to warrant a best of release or compilation.

I am interested only in this part of the content:

Code of Honor #104 Music by Fred Steiner
2. Sky and Starship M11* / Meet Lutan M12 / Lutan Impressed M13 (2:43)
3. Bronze Horse M14 / To the Holodeck M15 / Snatch Tasha M16 (1:50)
4. Waiting M21 / Code of Honor II M22 (1:39)
5. Chez Lutan M31 / Lutan’s Honor M32 / The Centerpiece M33 / Yareena Upset M34 / Combat Ready M35 / Hatching a Plan M36 / Code of Honor Again M37 (4:16)
6. Code of Honor M41 (Not Used) / Yareena’s Threat M42 / The Glavin M43 (2:12)
7. Officer’s Log M51 / Competition M52 / Deadly Blow M53 / She Lives M54 / Poor Lutan M55 / Mission Accomplished M56B* (6:39)

Is this fully orchestral or is there substantial synth content? And will there be more Fred Steiner in subsequent volumes of this series (I've no idea what his total contribution to the show was)?

I think LLLR learned something from the FSM TNG set.

The Ron Jones Project is monumental and well deserved, but it is not necessarily affordable for many of us.
...
The Ron Jones Project would be an instant buy for me, if I had those kinds of funds to spend in one hit, and it is absolutely worth every penny FSM is asking for. But I cannot justify the purchase budgetarily.

I hope with these sets, people will want to get the rest of the music and go for the FSM boxset. It really is a must have if you're a fan of the show and its music. I'm sure the la la sets will look nice alongside the FSM boxset smile

The Ron Jones set is totally worth saving your pennies for, especially if you are a fan of the show. There was some fine music composed by McCarthy, Chattaway and the rest, I am a big fan, but I really think that the bulk of the best music written for TNG was by Jones. His scores have the most variety, the most indelible melodies, the best action music, the most unique elements...

This is the only episode Mr. Steiner recorded for the show.

Sadly he passed the day we received final artwork approval. We did manage to slip in a last second dedication on this release though.

The scores themselves are recorded with an orchestra. Some really fantastic work.

Congratulations on what sounds like a fantastic set, guys. smile

MV, please make TOS happen! Only about 30-35 scores in all.

I do. There is some good Jay Chattaway music in there, especially "Scorpion".

When I was packing for my Studio City move in May, I watched my TNG Season One DVD set as entertainment and was reminded how much I really liked McCarthy's work at that point, alongside the stellar Jones scores. "Haven" is a real winner and it's so great to see this being released. What a golden age for us TNG fans! smile

Me too.
Along with DS9 and of course, Enterprise. My favourite of all the Trek shows.

I remember most Of the episodes from this forthcoming set - and the choices here are outstanding, particularly The Pegasus, Remember Me and Relics.

Thanks to everyone involved. This year, every label has seemed to entirely outdone themselves.

That which we are to receive, may we be truly grateful!
