@ Scott and Brad, which font types did you guys use on the Green Beret covers. They look great, and might be useful to me in the future.

The font is derived from the type face used in the original promotional materials. As far as I know there is no commercial equivalent. I don't know what ScottDS used, but this is one of those instances where I recreated the font from scratch using Font Creator. I was able to find most of the characters from various international versions of the poster, so I have a fairly complete character set (upper case only).

Ok, thanks. I had hoped it was a downloadable font. No such luck then.

I am amazed at the quality of the custom covers you folks design, many of them now brighten up my cd collection.

I have tried and failed (many times) to create a custom cover for Tadlow's El Cid, I tried with this poster;

I'm afraid that my skills and equipment are very limited, I was wondering if anyone here has made an alternative to Tadlow's El Cid and if so, would you mind sharing it with some of your less gifted colleagues (me for instance).

@ ScottDS- I really like your Winter Kill cover. It's really creative. The hardest covers to design are those that don't have good source material to begin with. Well done.

Thanks! It was kind of a happy accident. Even the cover for the Warner Archive DVD is just a black and white still of Griffith.

With movies I've never seen, I have to be careful about making assumptions. For instance, the word "Kill" is part of the title but I couldn't assume that a "scary" or "violent" typeface would be appropriate.

Good point! My "Runner Stumbles" art is way to scary and dramatic for the tone of the film, but I just couldn't think of what else to do with it.

I made an attempt at a Marvel Avengers soundtrack as well. The drawback of using a very busy poster is, not much room to drop your text.

Two films I would love to see custom covers for are OF MICE AND MEN and OUR TOWN. Is it possible that one of you very talented people could come up with these covers ? Thanks in advance.

Both titles appear to have multiple versions. Can you specify the release year of the ones you need?

Most definitely ! OF MICE AND MEN [1939] and OUR TOWN [1940]. Both composed by the great Aaron Copland. Thank you again.

You're very welcome. That's one of my favorite posters and albums, so it was a pleasure.

If you mean individual covers for the Naxos recording with Andrew Mogrelia conducting the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra:
