OK, so after diving in and reviewing the lengthy album for Star Trek Picard: Season 3, I've whittled the tracks down to what I find are the highlights for my subsequent listens. I love all the statements of the new Titan and Family themes, so those take precedence, with enough examples of both Barton's and Wiedman's respective action cues. See below:

Star Trek Picard: Season 3

1.Leaving Spacedock
2.I Like That Seven!
3.Picard’s Answer
4.Call Me Number One
5.Let’s Go Home
6.A New Family
7.Klingons Never Disappoint
8.Legacies
9.La Forges
10.Invisible Rescue
11.Dominion
12.Frontier Day
13.You Have The Conn
14.Make It So
15.Battle On The Bridge
16.The Last Generation
17.The Missing Part Of Me
18.Must Come To An End
19.A New Day
20.Names Mean Everything
21.The Stars – End Credits

75 minutes

I gave this playlist a test drive over the weekend and I love it! I personally would just add "Hello, Beautiful" at the start and possibly one or two other tracks (can't think of the names now). If I get really adventurous I may attempt some microedits to remove a few of the more modern sounding bits, but will need to live with the score a bit first.

Oh, that's great to hear, JTWFan, I'm glad that my whittled highlights of Picard season 3 resonated with you! Feel free to amend/adjust however you feel necessary!

I just noticed that this thread was started by Hurdy Gurdy, which is not how I remember seeing it in the past.

Is Hurdy Gurdy a name change? And who were you before, again, if I may ask?

A couple of expanded albums that I need to whittle down into either fantasy LP lengths or single disc 70/75 mins are:

Die Hard With A Vengeance
Zack Snyders Justice League (4 hours? Come on!)

Anyone had a crack at these?

I have now FINALLY begun what I call my Grand Whittling Project.

I've decided to go through my digital collection of some 2500 albums, and whittle down ALL the overlong album presentations into more succinct playlists. Otherwise, I won't play them. It's a HUGE project, since -- as you all know -- many soundtracks these days are insanely long. Digital distribution allows for it. So you have "albums" that are 90 minutes, two hours, three hours, what-have-you.

I don't know how many albums we're talking about; probably a couple of hundred. Currently whittling Tyler's 1883 as I'm writing this.

I'll try to share some playlists here once I'm done.

I mean, I wish I didn't have to. Not a "hobby" I'm keen on having. But it needs to be done. Currently whittling Young's 100-minute(!) THE CORE...and on it goes.

THE CORE (Christopher Young) Intrada 2CD Edition
Okay, it's great, BUT, 100 minutes of full-on, forward momentum LARGE SCALE Disaster Action music can wear one down in a whole session.
I find Disc 1 to be the strongest, with the main highlights therein.
Disc 2 still has some great stuff, but repeats material from D1, which lessens it somewhat.
I only shaved about 8 minutes from the D1 run time of 51 mins, but kept about 18 mins from D2, for a whittle edition score total time of around 60 mins.
Here it is
Disc 1, tracks 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10
Disc 2, tracks 1, 8, 9, 10.

(track 11 of D1, Cor Cordium, may be added back into the programme...just played it again and liked it some more).

Hey Thor, we can compare notes...
