Ooohhh, someone asked for it. Okay then. Well, there has been a shit-load of requests from people over the decades the board has been around. Better get moving faster, Varese!

Is "CD series name imprecisely defined" now a reason to carp about Varèse? Lokutus takes whatever he can get when it comes to bashing Varese.

So, if enough people ask, will they make sure nobody mastering their CD's brickwalls them anymore?

No one is complainant about the score being released. In fact, I when I read the thread yesterday, no one was complaining period. I and others asked what the point was of this "We Hear You" series. And now we're asking why this and next to nobody talked about it. Who was Varese hearing? Were all these people they were hearing from e-mail them privately? 'cause I don't see them speaking up in this thread. It's not about other labels. Other labels don't seem to have redundant lines. No other label has a "We Hear You" series which seems to be made up of titles we don't recall people asking for. If some other label started doing this, I'd have the some observations and questions.

SchiffyM: If your goal is to live in a state of perpetual irritability, then by all means hop on board here and protest that a CD comes from a redundant line, whatever that is.
You of all people should know that is Grade A Baloneum. Alternately, you might want to ask yourself what impact it actually has on your real life that this CD wasn't just announced as a regular Varèse Sarabande release, or that we don't have iron-clad proof that anybody asked for it.
Welcome to the internet: Asking questions about things that have no impact since at least 1994. Well can surmise that they are gathering input here and from e-mail, based on announcing the line here at FSM, and that surely e-mail suggestions are not ignored. Aside from these two threads, I can't find anybody mentioning this at FSM. Is there an unspoken wealth of e-mails coming in demanding this title? I highly doubt it. I can think of plenty titles, however, that people here have mentioned over the years again and again and again and again. Did they hear us then? 'cause aside from "The West Wing", none of the other titles are things I can recall multiple people asking for. Feel free to choose either one.
I expect more from you, of all people. This isn't one or the other; you created a false set of choices.

Another title in "We Hear You" series nobody asked for? That's actually false. I have had several requests over the years, especially after we did the film scores. Just never had a chance to get around to doing it. I look forward to the set. MV
