Count me in on this. Just love the new "Ben-Hur" recording, by the way. "King of Kings" would be a dream come true. Great news, indeed!

Will be another dream come true. The Ben-Hur recording is a great listen and King of Kings is its companion work...

There isn't a release in any musical genre that excites me anywhere near this. That clip was a vicious tease lol!

This will be amazing.

'The thing to spot, Watson, is that this Entr'Acte is the actual film version. The one you might expect in concert is in fact the reworked and extended version by Christopher Palmer for Rozsa's 80th birthday, which included the lame boy healing sequence and Peter's Denial.'

'But Holmes ... what does that tell us?'

'Well Watson, it is incontrovertible proof that Messrs Fitzpatrick, Phillips and Raine et al have been already preparing material that's not readily available for concert use.'

'Ingenious, Holmes. So this is more than mere conjecture.'

The Entr'acte was recorded during the BEN-HUR sessions but I'm sure that at that time a recording of the complete score wasn't intended.

Leigh had prepared the Entracte for our Rozsa concert...and it is on the Epic Rozsa CD I did...but Nic and orchestra got too excited and took it rather speedily! So as I had the score and parts and a few minutes left at the end of a session that we did 1 take of it at a more religioso tempo !

I was lucky enough to be present at this recording session at about 10pm and I was totally excited to hear CoPPO perform this piece. GOOSEBUMPS! I immediately thought that it will make its appearance on the new Ben-Hur CD as some sort of appetizer for the next coming attraction :-)
It's wonderful news that KOK will be made!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm even more excited than all those exclamation points lol!!!!

Well, I wouldn't count my exclamation points before they're hatched. James has said he needs half the money from us, we millionaire classic filmmusic lovers. There's a hard core group of us ready and anxious to give, yes--I've already committed. The question is, is there a wider, less hard core but still generous group--or rather, crowd--out there prepared to make up the inevitable shortfall.

There are people who post on other boards who are interested in this project and there are those that do not post at all here or rarely, who would give and then there are those who might just throw some money at the project who aren't even fans of Rózsa or film music, though are fans of Classical music and then there are those who will donate some money into the project because they are interested in seeing so unique succeed. Don't forget that Moonraker was fully funded by the end of the campaign.

How is progress with the Kickstarter James?

these news are beyond exciting.
If I had to pick a single score that CRIED for an up-to-date new recording, I would have said this one.
It's a masterpiece, and it's a Rozsa masterpiece , to boot.
It never fails to give me the goosebumps, even in what we have , mediocre performance and inferior sound.
Ready to contribute.
