I see LLL making a can't lose choice in picking INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. They are not only appealing to golden age fans, but today's fans of the scifi -horror genre. This will sell out fast.
So what's the backstory on INVASION? Who had the recordings, etc.? I can finally toss my home made edit CDR.
I'm sure many of us would like to know the answer to the above questions. Do we have to wait for the weekend to be over?
I'm also very interested in learning about the details of BODY SNATCHERS. Until then, I must say this is a massively monumental release! Absolutely wow!
I too am very surprised to see INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. It's a must-buy for me and I think it will sell out quickly. I thought the music no longer existed. Perhaps MV can tell us how the music survived for 60 years!
By the way, now I really afraid about late November - if Last Boyscout will be release in August (and for my taste it's PERFECT title for Black Friday), does it means that LLL prepare even more big & great titles for their Black Firday batch in 2015?! Seems that we need to start save our money right now

music stems? If so, then I wonder if Lukas was helping with this one since FSM did some stem releases near the end.
Funny how the posts here alternate between fans for Body Snatchers and Boy Scout. LLL offered something for everyone.

It's funny you say that about Last Boy Scout being perfect for Black Friday because it was delayed from last year (it's LLLCD 1331), so it was likely intended as a candidate for Black Friday 2014.
Body Snatchers is not from stems. The Carmen Dragon estate had the masters all these years and both the cd and LP sound incredible.

Judging by previous FSM posts I've seen on this topic from Lukas, Ray Faiola and David Schecter, this must have been one of the hardest ever film scores to get out on CD. I suspect we'll never know *how* hard.
So kudos to La La Land Records for getting it out there!
