Since we have a thread about some of the old Diplomat recordings of the 1960s, I guess this is as good a time as any to ask the question once again---
Is this "Nicholas Andriano" (with an "n") of the various Diplomat recordings of the 1960s the same (apparently Swiss) conductor "Nicholas Adriano" (without an "n") of the CD re-recordings of REBECCA and JANE EYRE made about 15 years ago?
The Swiss conductor was born in 1944, and, as far as I can tell, made his first recordings in the second half of the 1970s. Also, Adriano is said to be his first name.
It appears most certainly to eliminate ADRIANO as the mysterious "Nicholas Andriano," but maybe "Nicholas Andriano" is actually a pseudonym for an otherwise very reclusive or too-well-known-to-be-credited conductor.
As I recall, "Nick" also did a Diplomat album on THE LONGEST DAY and, aside from the Paul Anka theme, I think the rest of the music was composed by Al Goodman just for this album . . . and it wasn't bad either.

Yep, the Zurich based Adriano has nothing to do with it. BTW, here is a 1972 interview by Adriano with Hitchcock on Herrmann: http://adrianomusic.com/hitch.html
BTW "Nicholas Andriano" most likely wasn't even one uncredited conductor more likely several different real conductors.
