I haven't seen "Darkest Hour" yet (I plan to), but of the ones I've seen so far... 1) JFK 2) The Dark Knight 3) Batman Begins a We both share top three!

To be honest, Gary Oldman has been a true mixed bag for me. He's been in some great films with a great performance, he's given some subtle and solid performances, and he's chewed many a scenery and overacted to the point of distraction. But here are the 5 I really liked him in: 1. Prick Up Your Ears 2. Immortal Beloved 3. The Dark Knight 4. The Darkest Hour 5. Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy I agree on some of his films, Leon, for all the love people give it I don't rate it, the bit-part Oldman did star it was ruined, screaming, over cooked, & True Romance the screen time playing a rastafari made Oldman look an idiot, why didn't the director just hire a legit rasta, so weird, never liked that film much. Sid & Nancy Meantime Murder in the First Dracula JFK Oldman did direct a self portrait of his self played by Ray Winstone, its a dark film with violence drugs, booze, paranoia, "Nil By Mouth" watch it.

Deputy Riley’s list matches mine other than number 5, which I would replace with True Romance. He was awfully good in Paranoia. His scenes with Harrison Ford were the highlight!
