Updated first post. Let me know if I missed anything. The list is much bigger than I imaged it would be.
Though to be honest I don't know how many of the titles need an expansion.

I forgot: It's actually "The Mask of Zorro".
"The Mark of Zorro" is the 1940 film with music by Alfred Newman ;-)

If we're being really anal, might as well say that the Intrada releases for Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and Something Wicked This Way Comes were incomplete, and the LLL release of Jade is also incomplete

Horner stopped proposed releases of things like THE HAND & DEADLY BLESSING & an expanded BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS while he was alive.
I wonder if those wishes are still being honoured, or if things have changed?

As much as I respect his wishes, my love for his music is even bigger, so I do hope things have changed, especially regarding the underrated THE HAND.
Reading that he supposedly was against an expanded THE ROCKETEER as well kind of gives me hope.

I’m happy to see others like this score as well. THE HAND is one of the most effective horror scores ever written IMO.
I suppose Horner didn’t want to get this released because of the obvious nods to ALIEN. But the music is very catchy with nuanced suspense textures and an exceptional violent energy in the action cues.
I think the score really got to shine through its reuse in WOLFEN where it was used to great effect. The music is a prime example of creative, even if temp track influenced, horror scoring to me. PLEASE somebody release it :-)

I think the basis of the question is that, if (when) Brainstorm gets re-released, I'm hoping they include both the original and rerecorded versions of the score. I find that sort of thing very interesting.

I do absolutely LOVE the album version of Brainstorm. It can be rough listening for the uninitiated, but I treasure it.

Funny story: when I was about 19 I would play film scores in my car no matter who was in it. One day, a girl I really liked wanted to know what all the fuss was about and said "play me a soundtrack." I responsed, "which one?" She said, "I don't care. Whatever is in the tape deck."

Less than a minute into the opening track of Brainstorm, she asked me to stop. That was definitely the wrong choice. big grin

A Few Days At Weasel Creek is another 80s TV Movie score by Horner that is really great.
I have the whole score taped off the film and about 4-5 cues from the sessions, including the magnificent Main Titles (5 minutes of fantastic, flourishing Horner flying sequence scoring).

I don't think anyone has mentioned DAD (1989) - the existing soundtrack is about 40 minutes long, so there is probably room for expansion.

Would love to finally get Captain EO. There's probably only about 10-15 minutes worth of score, assuming there aren't any alternates or unused cues, so it's not really worthy of it being released on it's own. But perhaps it could be released alongside another short Horner score?

Not sure if there's a thread or any kind of discussion on I Love You to Death, but I saw the movie the other day and I found the score charming (though the fact that one of the melodies is derived from a song that Kevin Kline's character sings at one point may have precluded a release).

I played I LOVE YOU TO DEATH score this week (34 minute promo) and I like the quirky Main Titles (Willow*/Commando* meets Paul Simon) and the big dramatic Finale/End Title cue, but I lose interest in the tracks in between.
Is it OFF BEAT that sounds similar to it?

*the Willow village source cues that sound like Paul Simon and the Commando/48 Hrs kettle drums.
