Debneys music for Seaquest deserved the Ron Jones box set treatment.I know that was never likely given that Seaquest wasnt nearly as popular Trek. Davis's contributions to the series ( Especially season 2 when he became the main composer ) is also dererving of the box set treatment. Heck, both of them deserved properly written liner notes with season approriate pictures and everything!

And it's terrific! I was alarmed that the low key music under the opening credits was not included. I was relieved to see it is included later in the program as "Fireball / Amber". I guess they tracked the piece into the opening? I look forward to reprogramming this one - with less Workout and Hawaiian source music. So cool to here the previously unreleased Intro music segue into the unused Bakersfield music that keeps the Intro sequence mixed underneath it.

My copy of this arrived last night - The shipping packaging has been upgraded to a higher quality coardboard encasing material. It was perfect. The liner notes, and whole package is awesome. The music is stunning, and really enjoyed reading Debney's memories about getting the job, and the notes of praise from the show's Exec Producer on the music throughout. I really hope this is selling well. Thanks to everyone who worked on this one. It's a prized treasure in my soundtrack collection along with the original release. I too noticed that the packaging was superior this time--they actually put some crumpled paper in there to keep things from shifting around (too much) and this was the first time I've not received a cracked case from them! Here's to the small things!

I too noticed that the packaging was superior this time--they actually put some crumpled paper in there to keep things from shifting around (too much) and this was the first time I've not received a cracked case from them! Here's to the small things! You're lucky. My last two orders from them were thin, flat corrugated cardboard mailers without any protection inside. Thankfully, seaQuest arrived undamaged. However, I placed a newer order for titles in the clearance sale, and Family Plot arrived with multiple cracks and the hinges totally broken on the jewel case. Fortunately, the disc was fine, and there was nothing wrong with Cocoon: The Return. Still, I e-mailed them, requesting a full refund on the shipping considering how badly it was packaged--and considering this is a regular occurrence for them ever since Naxos. I specifically called out how many similar complaints were reported on this board. Also, I happened to receive Minority Report from LLL the same day, so one of the photos I attached was LLL's padded mailer as an example of appropriate USPS First Class shipping. That e-mail was a week ago today. Still haven't received a reply or saw any refund on my card. I guess a follow-up e-mail will be getting sent tomorrow morning.

Too many "film versions" / alt mixes. You should get the original if that's your bag. I'm sure prices will be coming down as people sell the old ones off.

I see, thanks. I was hoping to use this new release to program the OST because the sound quality is presumably better. You can get close, but some tracks only exist in film versions which deviate a bit. New mix does sound pretty damned good.

The main titles as they are on the CD sound right to me. I need to watch it again... So we have the opening Running Man LOGO music and narrative crawl : The film dials out the second half where the main Running Man theme kicks in. I assume this was supposed to support the Bakersfield Massacre footage. I'll have to sync it up sometime see which I like better (music vs no music). And then there is the prisonyard cast and crew credits which has the low key , tracked music I was talking about.
