Thor, has your dissertation been translated into English?

Alas, no. But the abstract is in English:

https://www.duo.uio.no/handle/10852/27550

To be fair, it's a Cand. Philol. dissertation -- a degree that is now defunct -- which is situated between Master's and Doctorate if applied to contemporary practice.

Was this whittled-down abstract done by Kev McGann?

Will there be a C & C edition?

Just curious, would it be hard to translate because of academic and discipline-specific terminology? I realize of course that there is a lot of work in translation, but your English is impeccable.

No, it would be fairly easy to translate. Just a LOT of work, as you say. I've used bits and pieces of it in articles over the years, whenever relevant. Interestingly, I had the cover designed by Jim Titus back in the day, before he became a big-time soundtrack cover designer:

A translation is something I want to do when I have more control over my life and calendar. smile

Cover of this work looks great. By the way, when I needed to translate my paper into another language, I used https://au.edubirdie.com/best-australian-writing as I know that professional linguists work there. It's just very difficult to translate an academic paper if you are not sure that you can correctly translate all the terminology. By doing that by yourself is a very ambitious project.

I have just realised (after years haunting this board) that Thor is actually called Thor, which is very cool - hello, Thor.

(Sorry for being slow, presumptuous, rude etc)

Ian
