I agree less is more when it comes to the Joker. To be fair to the Killing Joke, it is unclear whether the origin shown in the flashbacks actually happened. The Joker himself in the story says he remembers things differently every time, and so the flashbacks we saw may not be from a reliable narrator. Maybe he completely blocked his origin from his memories, or maybe, like in Dark Knight, the origin story fits the narrative. His argument is that the difference between sanity and insanity is one really bad day, so the flashbacks we saw may or may not be what he created for himself while trying to force Commissioner Gordon to go insane. The beauty of the Joker is that he represents the type of villain Batman can never bring to justice, even when caught, and having no backstory indicates that this could be any villain, thus feeding on Batman's own insanity (doing the same thing over and over expecting different results, etc). Which is why I would want Spidey's first villain (Uncle Ben's killer) to remain free and unknown, much like Bruce Wayne's parents' killer. It's that one thing that will forever be out of their reach, but they never realize it.

I have a lot of complaints about these superhero/bad guys films. I'll just widdle all that away because I want to do other things and just make a generic statement: There's nothing in that Joker trailer whatsoever that says "Watch me".

On the bright side- at least it's not one of 'us' regulars biting each others arses.

LEHAH: Is might be a spammer, but I think it's odd if it is a spammer that they almost always pick and resurrect my old posts from the Movie/TV news as opposed to many other FSM members who post. Also, several days after Thor and I discussed the last spam vs. troll post, I received the following email: "Hi, is this James by any chance? Thanks! Holly" In about 25 years of email, this is the only personal email I have received from someone I didn't know. Also, "James" may refer to my James Bond movie trivia that I post every Monday and the supposed troll posted a number of times on another forum that his favorite novels are the James Bond novels. When I was on the college forum, I emailed other members, some of whom know the troll, so I assumed long ago that he got my email address from them. Some FSM members have emailed me, and they know I have a relatively unique email address, so it would be a big coincidence if "Holly" found my email address by accident. Either way, I reported the email and info on the suspected troll to Yahoo. As I've posted on FSM earlier, the supposed troll used to personally attack people on college forums everyday all day for over nine years using many names, including referring to blacks as monkeys, calling people sobs and douchebags, etc.---until Fox Sports, which owned the college forums at the time, banned him nationally under his most popular name. But he continued to troll under his other names. He kept a low profile after he was outed on one college forum---and he got a government job. In today's current political climate, I don't think the average taxpayer would approve of a government employee who posted for nine years that that he thinks blacks are monkeys, and he likes to masturbate to photos of young girls.

UPDATE: On May 26, I received an email from the city of Asheville, North Carolina promoting it for tourism. I did not sign up to receive email from Asheville, and I have never received an email from any other city. Also, the suspected troll I have mentioned on FSM was born a few miles from Asheville. On May 27, supposed-spambot Angelajimmenez posted on FSM (now deleted). On May 19, I received the previously-mentioned email asking if my names is "James". As I noted earlier, I post the James Bond Movie Trivia almost every Monday. The troll has mentioned on another forum that the James Bond novels are his favorite novels. There have been other times when the troll/spambot would post on one of my Movie/tV News threads, and then I receive strange emails the same day. Maybe it really is a spambot, but an unsolicited email from Asheville where the troll was born a few miles away the day before Angelajimmenez posted on my Movie/TV News tends to support my theory that a troll is involved and not a spambot. I called Yahoo and reported the Asheville email, like the "James" email, and included relevant information about the troll and his identity.
