So the film is directed by Dogbelle, with music by Jehannum... I liked it. That's a real guitar, isn't it, not a synth mockery (sick)? Are you playing that, Jeh? Good stuff.

Yes, very lovely music Jeh.
I know you're a big Jerry Goldsmith fan and I recalled strains of his south of the border westerns and the opening titles of BREAKOUT. Not lifts or owt, just a vague channeling of one of your fave composers.
Impressive.

Thanks for doing that, Dogbelle. Nice video.

The lead guitar melody is 100% real (Yamaha semi-acoustic) but the backing arpeggios had to be synth 'cos my hand can't play barre chords for very long these days - causes killer thumb pain in my left hand.

You may notice that the tune passes through most of the "church" modes by altering one note at the end of each passage. It ends in the Lydian mode, where the sharp fourth gives the mode an even brighter sound than the major (Ionian). The last bit was influenced by Geoffrey Burgon's Nunc Dimittis, the end theme to Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy.

I wasn't aware of a particular Goldsmith reference but I'll not complain about it smile. His music is definitely a very deep influence.
