Oh now I see how it could also be read that way. My apologies if I misinterpreted.

Oh MV, all of your releases are stellar because you and your team are stellar and put a bunch of love and effort into every one. Some of my favorite releases of yours are the less “big” ones. Hang in there man, and keep your chin up.

Yavar

He meant their plans won't be scaled back, not that the releases won't be stellar

No it's not going to be a stellar set of releases. They will be good if we get approved in time but nothing jaw dropping. No Harry Potter set or Jurassic Park or Lethal weapon or Paramount Western set. Good solid releases that we hope folks like.

I thought you meant that there would be NO releases at all, so compared to that, this sounds great!

IMO, that's completely OK.

I could be wrong, but this is the way I personally see it: over the past several years--decade, really--LLL along with Intrada, Varese, etc. have managed to produce so many great releases including some that we never thought would see the light of day.

Of course there are still those "grails" out there, but that number is dwindling and I imagine it's going to get increasingly harder to have those massive WOW! moments for Black Friday.

While there are a few titles I hope will be part of their near future plans, I'm still eager to see whatever they release. Maybe there'll be titles I want, and maybe there won't be. Frankly, after the uncertainty this past Spring, I'm just grateful they're still here!

Everyone's idea of stellar or spectacular is different. Just keep doing what your doing!

Hoping for a legit expanded Gladiator release. Although I think that would be considered spectacular, so maybe it therefore is not.

For me, a stellar and spectacular release could be so many different "small" titles!

My BIGGEST wish (and hope) would be for that Angel (series) Collection, which there was plans for earlier, but I think Disney put a stake in the project and dusted it like a sad vampire :/

Or, Cruel Intentions! Been wanting that score for so long (well, 21 years anyway).

And Baywatch (early seasons)!! lol!

Anything can be spectacular for some. Whatever you release, someone out there will jump through the roof of happiness. Never forget that smile

This indeed. One of my favorite releases this year was Howard Shore's Sliver but from what I understand I was one of the few people who ordered a copy.

And my biggest Holy Grails are two Carter Burwell scores that most probably don't care about either, namely The Jackal and Fear. If those would ever be released, that be stellar and spectacular releases for me.

I wish I had not used the word 'stellar', as everyone has pointed out it has many connotations, which I totally agree with. Personally, if the 'Bride of Frankenstein', 'Two Mules', QM Vol 3 appeared as Black Friday releases I would have been more than happy with these.

I am grateful to LLL and all the labels for all the time, work and effort they put into their projects, I never take them for granted and appreciate what they release. Thanks

We can all agree on this, surely.

Dear MV,
five questions:
1. Will the Star Trek farewell set be released this or next year?
2. Any plans for new "Stargate SG 1" and "Stargate: Atlantis" CDs?
3. Any news about CDs from the following Universal shows: "The Rockford Files", "Magnum, p.i.", "The A-Team", "Airwolf" and "Miami Vice"?
4. "MacGyver" still on hold?
5. An expanded Bond score this year?

Thank you.

Star Trek farewell set? Is this a rumor or something that's actually happening? Last I checked was a request thread from years ago where I suggested the TMP warp up effect. Is that the thing you're talking about?

For DCAU, May I recommend the Teen Titans episode, "Things Change," for a soundtrack CD release?

I don't know. If I remember correctly MV announced a final (at least for a while) "Star Trek"- four CD-Set for 2019 or 2020. I'm not sure, if there was a thread for it.

They only planned on doing three volumes (according to someone in the "Streets of San Fan" thread). Did LLL post somewhere that they were doing a 4th?

Thanks for all the love. We are doing what we can

As for some of the questions...

More Trek hopefully in 2021
Same with DCAU
No on Stargate
Hopefully some great tv scores to come in 2021
Would love to do more QM sets if we can

This is my first post. I’ve been reading these various threads for several years now. I’ve been enjoying and studying movie scores since the late 1980’s. I’ve purchased LLL scores for a long time and feel they are one of the premium producers of this art form. I value various opinions and points of view and have enjoyed looking in on the long time contributors of this site. I choose this thread to create and put up my first post because I love and respect MV and LLL. It’s been a huge part of what I enjoy in life. I just want to say thank you LLL for enhancing my life and my enjoyment of movies and music. I also want to thank you for interacting with music score fans and answering al of our inane questions and ceaseless demands. God bless.
