Awesome! Frontiere fans rejoice!

So what is the Beachhead pilot theme by Frontiere, at the end? I searched IMDb for something by that title and didn't find anything from the 60s...

"Beachhead" was the pilot of "The Invaders," which was mostly tracked with music from "The Outer Limits." The cue we're going to get seems to be the pilot version of the intro music, which was the only original music composed for that episode.

I love this TV series - especially the first season - and the music is excellent. Another contender for release of the year.

That makes sense, although I'm personally surprised then that it isn't the first track of the all-Frontiere Disc 1 (as the first original music written for the series) rather than tacked on as the final track of the otherwise non-Frontiere Disc 2. It's not as if there wasn't room for that sub-minute track on Disc 1. Ah well. I'm sure there was a reason even if I can't suss it out at the moment.

I just ordered my set and I'm currently listening to the audio samples.
Fabulous wealth of music that represents the specific atmosphere of the series very well.
A real dream come true release that makes my day and ends 2019 with style!

Highly recommended!

Was the rest of the pilot score tracked from Stoney Burke music? Other than the theme, was there nothing composed for the pilot?

I'm guessing that these answers and more will be revealed in Jon Burlingame's liner notes. We may just have to be patient.

I listened to just two samples from "The Invaders" (the two tracks after the theme) and I was hooked.

Man, if they do "Twelve O'clock High", it's going to be an awful job leaving out so much great material. The most bittersweet distillation to date, perhaps.

I don't remember any of the "Stoney Burke" music in "The Invaders" pilot, but it's possible something made it in there - while watching it I did recognize a ton of cues from "The Outer Limits," particularly "The Forms of Things Unknown." I only remember the intro music being original.

And Yavar, my best guess is that Frontiere's one cue from "Beachhead" was chosen to close the second disc because in a sense it might function as a kind of "finale" for the set, being another variation of the theme.

The pilot "Beachhead" is a collection of cues culled and reworked from various sources:
Stoney Burke (1962)
The Outer Limits (1963) *
12 O'Clock High (1964)
The Haunted (1964) **

Footnotes
* cues from "Don't Open Till Doomsday", "The Things of Forms Unknown" (aka The Unknown), "Tourist Attraction", "The Man Who Was Never Born", "The Architects of Fear" were used.
** two scenes highlit a cue from that unsold pilot when the character of David Vincent first drives near Bud's Diner at night and returns to the place re-titled Kelly's Diner before meeting the camper couple.

Would have been better at the start of Disc Two. One of the two different End Credits cues would have made an appropriate finale.
I can understand temp-tracking a pilot, but I would think they'd have replaced it with an original score if it was sold. Music-wise, the pilot is a disappointment.
