Yeah, noticeably synth in season six and onward. That changes back to some degree as the season progress, but the glory days of the full lively orchestral pieces from the earlier seasons, is pretty much gone.

Oh, good thing you noted that about breaking up the features into episodes -- I forgot about that.

Finishing SEASON 6:

"Into the Wild Green Yonder"
https://ok.ru/video/40635206304

Highlights:
  • 6:04 in.^
  • 9:57/10:53 in. Blues-y noir music.^(second)
  • 19:57/20:41 in.^
  • 23:07 in.
  • 25:16 in.^
  • 26:36 in. Star Trek"-like cue.^
  • 27:34 in.^
  • 33:05/34:12 in.^
  • 36:51 in.^
  • 39:55 in.^
  • 43:10 in.^
  • 48:44 in.^
  • 59:00/59:48/1:00:06/1:01:06/1:02:28 in.^
  • 1:03:38 in.
  • 1:07:10 in.^
  • 1:14:34 in.^
  • 1:15:30 in.^
  • 1:15:16 in.^
  • 1:16:22 in.
  • 1:20:36 in.^
  • 1:22:30 in. Stops and goes a few times.^
  • 1:25:52 in.^

This was just awful. Not funny, boring, doesn't really feel like "Futurama", and ultimately I think this crap should be de-canonized (Which is a hard thing to do, since the opening of the new season picks up where this left off).
Though I would like to own a Tickle Me Bender that says that exact same line.
Oh, and I just would like the see the megaphone lady go the same route as the hippie guy seasons back...

    Penn Jilette voices his head.
Seth MacFarlane sings the opening song.

Leela's sudden red laser weapon on her arm thing, is sudden, and would have come handy ohhh ... a bazillion times before. Bet we never see that again!

Bender is now "40 percent lucky", which includes horse shoes.

It's the year 3009. And TiVo is still a thing.

Bender has an identical cousin named Buster.

Continuity Error: Agnew is killed here, but we later learn in season nine, in the episode "T.: The Terrestrial", when Agnew is killed yet again, that he is the "second-to-last" Agnew, implying Nixon had a limited number of headless Agnew clones, so this should be the third-to-last.

Continuity Error #2: We know the Nimbus has a magnetic tractor beam, so having an actual big magnet is just stupid. The writers of this awful special are awful. And they should feel bad.

Continuity Error #3: The Planet Express ship uses the poop from Nibbler for its fuel, not whale oil. Aaannnddd where is Nibbler????? And Cubert, by the way???

    (NtM: 44:56, 51:20, 58:37, 1:11:09)

    Amy: "The boning continues!"

Man, you really manage to suck all the fun out a goddamned cartoon.

Continuity Error #3: The Planet Express ship uses the poop from Nibbler for its fuel, not whale oil.

Maybe you should watch them all before you start tossing out alleged errors.

     Posted:   Mar 21, 2023 - 8:20 AM
     By:   Justin Boggan   (Member)

It's not an alleged error: the ship is stated to run on dark matter in the show; it warps space, much akin to warp speed on ST. Multiple episodes Nibbler poops, and it's tossed in for fuel. And a ship that can travel between galaxies in hours, cannot fuel itself on whale oil. It's stupid, too. Really stupid.

Aside from those two feature-length episodes I noted with no loads, I HAVE watched it all.

Aside from those two feature-length episodes I noted with no loads, I HAVE watched it all.

And in one of those episodes you skipped it explains why the ship runs on whale oil now.

Okay, I'll take that at face value. But it doesn't change it's not possible to run the ship on whale oil, and that it's STUPID. Hell, so is season six -- stupid. They managed to suck the good out of the show.

But it doesn't change it's not possible to run the ship on whale oil, and that it's STUPID.

It's not possible to freeze yourself for 1000 years, it's not possible to be your own grandfather, keep heads in jars, or invent a fing-longer. It's just a joke. Y'know, for a comedy show.

    Lighten up, Francis.

    SEASON 7:

Back from cancellation, the show was then airing new episodes on Comedy Central.

Since I didn't post last week, today I am posting twice as many episodes to make up for last week.

    "Rebirth"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E01.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

NOTE: The theme music has been modified slightly for this opening episode, as well as the end credits.

    Highlights:
  • 0;55/1:55/17:15 in.^
  • 3:26 in.
  • 7:11/7:44 in.^
  • 12:29 in.^
  • 14:25 in.
  • 15:23 in.
  • 16:17 in. Fight music.
  • 20:55 in.

I'd also take that disco music for the club.

Continuity Error: in a prior season the Planet Expressed ship "docked" with the Nimbus, by way of one of those pointed extended things on the front of the ship, opening up with three or four "teeth" -- kind of a shuttle bay door entrance. Here they fire lasers. And I want to say the Nimbus fired lasers one time before and they were not the red/pink color seen here.

    (NtM: 9:23/gif)

    "In-A-Gadda-Da-Leela"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E02.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

NOTE The opening credits is twelve seconds shorter.

    Highlights:
  • 0:19 in.^
  • 1:22 in.^
  • 6:07 in.^
  • 2:37 in.^
  • 13:42 in.^
  • 20:32 in.^

    (NtM: 4:17, 21:03)

Zapp: "I wax my rocket every day."

Zapp: "I surrender and volunteer for treason!"

Zap: "Ohhh, I just wish I understood why ... why I should care."

Professor Farnsworth: "All death spheres have one vulnerable opening!"

    Zapp: "V-Giny? Doesn't ring a bell."

Leela: "This is it -- the moment we should have trained for!"

Zapp: "We can avoid humanity's mistakes."
    Leela: "Like the tuba."

    "Attack of the Killer App"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E03.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

Note: This episode has a song for the end credits.

    Highlights:
  • 1:49 in.^
  • 6:32 in.
  • 12:15 in.
  • 16:00 in.^
  • 18:31 in.
  • 20:35 in.^

Now Bender is also 40% chromium.

I understand and even appreciate the idea of the episode and what it was saying about Twitter and iPhone users, but I found the whole execution just rather mediocre, plus the whole subplot about the singing boyle on Leela's ass ... was awful. I'll never watch this episode again and -- quite frankly -- I think it should be semi de-canonized (in other words, quietly forgotten in the shows continuity).

    (NtM: 1:06, 6:43, 13:13)

Overly Complicated Japanese Toilet: "Please donotathrowaway -- I give you happy poopy time."

Bender: "Is there an app for kissing my shiny metal ass?"
    Nerd Guy: "Several!"

Fry: "Shut up and take my money!"
(and thus, a popular meme was born)

Leela: "What stinks? Were you rolling around in New Jersey?"

Fry: "Can I have another hug?"
    Leela: "No."

    "Proposition Infinity"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E04.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

Note: This episode also has a song for the end credits.

    Highlights:
  • 1:10/1:25 in.^
  • 3:15 in.^
  • 7:47/9:45 in.^
  • 16:19 in.^
  • 17:51 in.

Lord, two bad episodes in a row. And this one is just awful. This one should be quietly de-canonized as well.

Continuity Error: The cops lightsaber batons were light blue throughout the series, but after it came back from cancellation the first time, the colors if light green.

    (NtM: 4:40, 6:27, 12:47, 13:56/14:35, 20:14 ~ 14:30/gif)

    "The Duh-Vinci Code"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E05.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 4:46 in.
  • 5:33 in.^
  • 10:15 in.
  • 11:18 in.
  • 13:20 in.^
  • 16:46 in.^
  • 18:45/19:10 in.^
  • 20:38 in.

Contemplate this: this show has had no official release of its scoring, but the show being parodied inside it in this episode -- "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" has had a release of its scoring! This is indeed a disturbing universe.

Also a very mediocre episode. It's not unwatchable, but I can't imagine willingly watching it ever again.

Professor Farnsworth: "All this knowledge is giving me a raging brainer!"

    "Lethal Inspection"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E06.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:44/1:20/1:29 in.^
  • 10:34 in.^
  • 12:37/13:10/18:05 in.
  • 17:10 in.
  • 18:53 in.^

Bender's entire explanation for being immortal, goes against all previous established continuity, as well as the fact he obviously didn't care about being immortal since in the pilot he's going to a suicide booth. Also, on some occasions his body was entire destroyed except small pieces, so he's far far FAR beyond being factory original and could have had a back-up system put in multiple times, or at least noticed he didn't have one each time he was re-constructed. This episode again contradicts an earlier season where we see that Bender was "born" in Mexico fully constructed in an adult body, then the programming installed.

Fairly boring episode. Don't care for the ending.

The letter Leela gets translated from the alien language reads:
Need extra cash? Melt down your old, unwanted humans. We pay top dollar!”

Homeland Security is still a thing a thousand years later.

    (NtM: 0:16, 7:39, 7:51, 10:07, 13:58, 16:05)

    "The Late Philip J. Fry"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E07.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 6:10 in.^
  • 10:59 in.^
  • 13:23 in.^
  • 16:15 in.
  • 20:44 in.^

The episode began out weak, but about half way in it started to recover and is so far the nearest thing approaching what the series used to be before cancellation.

    (NtM: 0:59, 1:29, 5:14, 13:52)

Professor Farnsworth: "Pow! We took care of the time travel paradox!"

    "That Darn Katz!"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E08.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 4:02 in.^
  • 6:15 in.
  • 7:50 in. Delightful twenty-second upbeat cue.^
  • 10:31 in.
  • 11:27 in.^
  • 14:29/15:04 in.^
  • 19:33 in.^

I like the premise, but the whole thing just feels off, and crossed lines into too cartoony in a way earlier seasons did not.

So, will we meet "Obliteron", the undercover evil hamster in the new season(s)?

Continuity Errors: the first time Nibbler spoke, which was to Leela, he said he was doing it in her mind, as I recall -- and thus everyone else heard gibberish.

    (NtM: 7:13, 16:15)

Leela: "You can't break up with me - you're my pet!"

Nibbler: "I warn you: if I have to get cute, its going to get ugly..."

    "A Clockwork Origin"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E09.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:49 in.^
  • 3:07 in.^
  • 6:06 in.^
  • 8:09/8:32 in.^
  • 10:15 in.^
  • 12:22/12:50 in.^
  • 16:34 in.^
  • 17:55 in.^

The pineapple pizza joke is sooo true!

Another weak episode. This entire season so far is just off in writing, ideas, and even the scoring doesn't sound like Tyng most of the time.

Professor Farnsworth: "I don't want to live on this planet anymore."
(and thus another popular meme was born -- too bad from this episode!)

Cubert: "Whoa, you're like some kind of dumpster Jedi."

    "The Prisoner of Benda"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E10.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 9:15 in.^
  • 12:49 in.^
  • 16:38 in.
  • 18:20/18:42/19:00 in.^

Continuity Error: If a mind can't ever be put back in, then the solution is simple; a season or two ago the entire crew was killed except for their heads, and the Professor grew new bodies in a goop vat, which got spit out by a rubber sphincter. So, make new bodies and insert the old minds.

    (NtM: 19:32)

Professor Farnsworth: "Science cannot move forward without heaps!"

    Finishing SEASON 7:

    "Lrrreconcilable Ndndifferences"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E11.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 13:56 in.
  • 14:43 in.^
  • 15:41 in.^
  • 18:29 in.^
  • 18:50 in.

This episode was much better, but it's boring and rather a shlog to get threw. I can't imagine watching it again.

    It's now the year 3010 in-universe.

So ... everyone does realize that since he said the horns contains is testicles, every time he slicks his horns back, he's petting his testicles, right?

    (NtM: 16:29, 16:50)

    "The Mutants Are Revolting"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E12.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 1:12/1:49/2:22 in.^
  • 4:19 in.
  • 6:12 in.^
  • 12:27 in.^

100th episode. And it's kind of bad.

Leela is just a "shallow" as she accused Fry of being one or two episodes ago.

Mark Mothersbaugh voices himself as the leader of the mutant Devo band. (about 14:10 in)
    And he's "40% potato".

    (NtM: 0:39)

Mutant Mark Mothersbaugh: "As long time mutants ourselves, we support your righteous struggle and we'll do anythign we can for you."
Dwayne (big forehead mutant): "Play Whip It!"
Mutant Mark Mothersbaugh: "No. Play the other one."

    "The Futurama Holiday Spectacular"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E13.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 2:43 in.
  • 5:25 in.
  • 6:42 in.
  • 10:33/10:55/11:22/11:55 in.
  • 12:54 in.
  • 17:25/17:47 in.^

Another boring episode. The writers of this episode somehow managed to bone up a Christmas episode, whereas before a Christmas episode was always something to look forward to. Another episode I won't be watching again.

Leela: "We brought a chocolate cake, but now I'm worried that might be offensive in some way."

    Out-of-context quote...
    Bender: "Go deeper! Deeper!"

    SEASON 8:

Since I forgot last week, here are two weeks worth of episodes.

    "Neutopia"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E14.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 5:40 in.^
  • 6:41 in.

Lord, this episode was awful. I'll never watch this episode again. What an awful season so far.

    Bender: "Aaannnnnddd boned."

Leela: "Thank God most of your fans are huge perverts."

    "Benderama"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E15.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 4:03 in.^
  • 5:25 in.^
  • 13:33 in.^
  • 14:28 in.
  • 17:23 in.

Bender saying "Well, that was dumb", is a perfect way to sum up this episode. It had a good premise, but it was quickly squandered.

Professor Farnsworth: "Every one -- look at my latest invention!"
Amy: "I like how its not killing us so far."

    "Ghost in the Machines"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E16.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:50 in. The parade music.^
  • 13:45 in.
  • 15:33 in.^
  • 20:35 in.^
  • 20:59 in.^

First descent episode of the season, though it's still lackluster. At least this one I can watch again.

We finally see -- although briefly -- Robot Heaven.

Bender: "An infinite loop? I don't have time for that!"

    Bender: "I'm back, baby!"

    "Law and Oracle"
    https://archive.org/embed/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E17.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 3:04/3:55/4:10/4:59 in.^(first/fourth
  • 6:13 in.^
  • 8:44 in.^
  • 12:23 in.^

Boring episode and short on laughs. Kind of feels like a rejected script cobbled together by inferior writers.

Where is Patty's cat? That's pretty and smells nice.

Police Robot Earl: "Fate is a freaky mistress."

    "The Silence of the Clamps"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E18.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 2:35 in.^
  • 8:46 in.
  • 12:26 in.^
  • 16:23 in.
  • 17:43 in.^
  • 19:52 in.^

An episode where finally Zoidberg gets to really shine and have a really cool moment. This episode wasn't half bad. But it wasn't half good either.

Just a thing I noticed: How come there is a robot in place of Robert Stack, when they've shown over and over and over again that heads of people from over a thousand years ago, are still around?

    (NtM: 7:30)

Bender: "So, I got to hide forever?"
Robert Stack Robot: "No -- just until the robot mafia finds and kills you. They're pretty good at that."

Clamps: "That guy can bite my shiny metal clamps."

Fry: "Billy West? What a stupid phony made-up name."

Professor Farnsworth: "I refuse to believe anyone is happy!"

    "Yo Leela Leela"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E19.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 10:22 in.^

    Really mediocre episode.

I might one time watch an episode of "Dora the Destroyer".

Leela: "... let's be realistic: We all know that nay TV show that's even slightly good, gets cancelled. Sometimes two or three times."

Network Executive: "Ten minute break, then we shoot season three."

    "All the Presidents' Heads"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E20.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 13:36 in.^
  • 15:44 in.^

    This is a bad episode.

Bender is also 40% scrap metal.

    "Möbius Dick"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E21.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:18 in.^
  • 1:51 in.^
  • 2:41 in.
  • 7:34 in.^
  • 8:22 in.
  • 9:09 in.^
  • 11:36 in.^
  • 17:25 in.^

Another bad episode. But the shots of the space whale are really nice.

    "Fry am the Egg Man"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E21.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 7:10 in.^
  • 7:52 in.^
  • 11:49 in.^
  • 16:31 in. And the cue after the commercial break.^
  • 17:51 in.^
  • 18:29in.

Good lord, it took twenty-two episodes, but we finally got ONE good episode out of this season. Mind you it's not as great as the show in its prime, but it's close enough.

Continuity Error: In a previous bad episode from this season, Bender didn't know the tub had alcohol in it, but in this episode his antennae can detect alcohol, apparently without him deliberately looking -- like a smoke detector just doing its job.

    (NtM: 10:57, 15:19, 16:58)

Fry: "That seems like a fact worth knowing."

: "The bad news, everyone, is the beast reproduces asexually; a single bone vampire left alone with some quiet music and some bone vampire porn, could produce dozens of deadly off spring."

Amy: "Awww, don't feel bad; Major MacZongo is an experienced hunter -- he'll blow Mr. Peppy's head off as painlessly as possible."

    "The Tip of the Zoidberg"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S06/Futurama.S06E21.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:17 in.^
  • 4:19 in.
  • 8:19 in.
  • 9:45 in.
  • 12:02 in.^
  • 16:07/18:15/18:59/18:55/19:05 in.^

The adorable owl infestation is back.

Kind of mediocre episode, but at least it sheds some light on the Farnsworth/Zoidberg friendship mentioned all these years.

    (NtM: 2:05, 2:19, 2:41, 3:19)

Another good episode, but still not like the hey day. And the touching end was good.

Professor Farnsworth: "Yesterday I was nearly killed by a tight hat." (there's a line that could easily also come from Mr. Burns)

Professor Farnsworth: "He consented! You all heard it!"

Now the police lightsaber batons are back to the original color.

Farnsworth needing a regular bendy straw bent for him, is exactly the kind of thing Mr. Burn would ask Smithers to do for him.

Leela: "Don't you ever wonder about the future?"
Fry: "Well, sure, but you're always in it. Also sometimes Terminators."

Mom: "What? Nobody rips off my kids but me!"

Zoidberg: "Somebody used to care about me? HORAAAYYY!"

Sooo ... I got a question: If baby Bender is born in green Slurm, does that make it birth fluid? And if "Yes", doesn't that mean Fry is drinking birth fluid, too? It's a trough one, I know -- it's supposed to be Slurm Loco.

And I have another question: Did baby Bender age and years passed and we saw a scene in the future, or was he upgraded into a new body amongst other upgrades.

Continuity Error: Bender didn't have a mom, he was built full size in Mexico -- we saw the flash back seasons ago.

    (NtM: 13:59, 18:17, 18:41, 20:57)

Fry: "So I went to the bathroom and my pee was green; pretty neat, huh?"
Hermes: "I was wondering who Shreked in the toilet."

"Call me 'old fashioned', but I like a little romance in an orgy."

Bender: "Wait -- give me a chance to defend your honor! Then sully it on the couch!"

Baby Bender: "Wipe my shiny metal ass."

    "A Farewell to Arms"

  • 20:25 in.^

Note: right after Fry pulls his pants off and we see him in his underwear next to Leela, the co-executive producer has the last name of "Weinstein".

It's now the year 3012. So, since the year moves on in-'verse as with real life, when the show comes back this year with new episodes, it should be the year 3024-ish. But no one has aged twelve years in-'verse.

Hermes: "Is it just me, or is the world ending more often these days?"

Leela: "Well, it wasn't a bad life; if only I could get back that time I spent watching 'Tron: Legacy'."

Scruffy: "Don't thank me, thank the ladder."

    "Decision 3012"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E03.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

  • 18:57 in.^

Lord, this episode is even worse than I remembered it. This was one of two episodes back in the day that drove me to abandon it. Eventually I caught some in re-runs. I won't be watching this garbage again.

    Bender is 40% wires.

Well, we already know Bender can "flush"...

New thing we learned about Bender: his eyes can either record video or broadcast video back wirelessly to him.

Factual Error: Once you leave the future and don't go back, you cannot know what happened just after you left.

    (NtM: 11:48 ~ 15:28/gif)

Hedonismbot: "Come closer and I'll expose what I know..."

    "The Thief of Baghead"

  • 20:15 in.^

Food coloring is the most poisonous substance known to robots. I'm surprised it's not deadly iocaine e-powder.

Bender: "Calculon really Shatnered the hell out of that scene."

    Calculon: "I'm a celebrity -- I can kill anyone I want!"

Zoidberg: "There's a humongous fungus among us!"

    "Zapp Dingbat"

  • 20:10 in.^

Rather bad episode. Sure it's got some laughs, but that doesn't make up for it as a whole. I'm just going avoid ever watching this one again.

I think this may be the first episode here we see Leela's apartment.

Leela: "Have your way with me for the next thirty seconds"
Zapp: "That would be more than enough time"

Zapp: "We're under attack and the weddings off. Kiff -- return fire, and the cake."

  • 14:43 in.^
  • 17:21 in.
  • 18:52 in.^(19:32)

Another bad episode. I'll be skipping this one too from now on.

    (NtM: 7:48)

Leela: "Keep your door unlocked tonight..."
Fry: "But McGruff the Crime Dog says -- OOOHHHHH..."

    "The Six Million Dollar Mon"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E07.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 11:30 in.
  • 14:10 in.
  • 14:52 in.^
  • 19:16/19:44 in.

Continuity Errors: the electromagnet execution device, when previously seen seasons ago, had a random number generator that when it hit zero, the executioner activated the device; here, it does not. And Roberto a season or two ago had an upgrade at a Mom factory, and came out sane -- why is he crazy again?

    (NtM: 3:52, 7:35, 12:10)

Hermes: "...and the lowest-rated employee -- possibly Zoidberg -- will be fired at sundown. Zoidberg."

Professor Farnsworth: "I can't do this, Hermes. Your wife's moving plea has made me realize you might have litigious survivors."

    "Fun on a Bun"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E08.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

  • 10:30 in.
  • 13:19 in.^
  • 13:55 in.
  • 14:38/15:14/17:02/17:55 in.
  • 18:43 in.^
  • 21:07 in. Special end credits music.^

    Another particularly bad episode.

Continuity Error: The ships engine does not shoot out orange fire colors, but blue as seen in all previously seasons.

    (NtM: 0:15)

Leela: "I broke up with my boyfriend and then I ate him!"

    "Free Will Hunting"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E09.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:

  • 3:25 in.
  • 10:04/10:50/11:43 in.
  • 12:58 in.
  • 15:24 in.^
  • 20:59 in.

    Now Bender is 40% empty.

In a prior episode from an earlier season I commented on why the Planet Express ship has to park, if there are not parking spaces -- why can't it just hover there? Well, that's exactly what Leela does in this episode.

Continuity Errors: Bender sleeps in a small closet, which he thinks is the apartment -- not a bed inside the real apartment like in this episode. And this is also not how the Bending unit wakes up, either.

Continuity Error: Where did the bowling ball go?

    (NtM: 2:10/2:47, 7:16, 14:37)

    Finishing SEASON 9:

    "Near-Death Wish"

  • 10:15 in.
  • 12:33 in.^
  • 19:00 in.

All these seasons we were told Professor Farnsworth was Fry's only living relative, and now suddenly with this episode, there are three more.

Hubert spent twenty-five years in a mental institution. So, based on what age he looked then, and what age he looked like at his youngest while working for Mom, it appears not longer after he got out, Mom hired and ex mental patient who didn't have a real science degree for the work he was hired for. He must have lied like crazy to get that job, and forged records.

LaBarbara: "We couldn't be more proud of you. Unless you won the award."

Fry: "Let's boldly go where we've gone before!"

    "31st Century Fox"

    Salmon Bender: "I'm born, baby!"

Salmon Fry: "Son of a fish!"

Bird Bry/Fry: "Umm, should we be watching this? It seems kind of personal."
Lizard Bender: "That's not an issue for us -- we're wild life."
Bird Bry/Fry: "What about the moaning? Is it okay to listen?"

Bird Bry/Fry: "Is it weird if I talk about his crazy turtle penis?"

"For in the end nature is horrific an teaches us nothing."

    Walrus Bender: "I'm forty-percent ass!"

    Continuing SEASON 10:

    "2-D Blacktop"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E14.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

  • 10:55 in.^
  • About 12:40 in.
  • 18:16/19:09 in.
  • 19:49 in.

I just don't like this episode. Another one I won't be watching ever again.

Thought: Why would the Professor want to turbo charge the ship so it can go faster, when it's already established it can move from one galaxy to another in hours?

Continuity Error: The two police officers are putting handcuffs on people and they are regular metal handcuffs. We've seen over and over and over again threw the seasons that the handcuffs have a light blue beam that curve over the wrist -- same color as the lightsaber batons.

PayPal is still a thing in the year 3012.

    (NtM: 10:37)

Amy: "Do you think they're dead?"
Hermes: "No, no -- I chose to believe they're alive in some other dimension; screamin' in agony."

    Bender: "We're back, baby!"

    "Fry and Leela's Big Fling"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E15.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 1:12 in.^
  • 2:50 in. The pleasant fine-dining restaurant music.^
  • 6:30 in.^
  • 9:21 in.
  • 13:29/14:10 in.^
  • 18:38 in.

We finally see the boyfriend Shawn mentioned in prior seasons.

Continuity Error: So, what happened with Guenter? Last we saw him, the hat that gave him intelligence, was damaged, resulting in moderate intelligence. Farnsworth designed the hat, we never saw him fix it, never heard a reference to it being fixed, and as he designed it -- it's unlikely another sane scientist could readily fix it. Yet here in this episode Guenter appears to be back to full intelligence.

    (NtM: 14:39, 16:06, 20:59)

Scruffy: "Don't pay me no mind..."

    "T.: The Terrestrial"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E16.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

  • 7:01 in.^
  • 7:33 in.
  • 8:38 in.
  • 16:36 in.^
  • 19:59 in.^

NBC is still a thing in the year 3012.

Continuity Error: Leela calls Hermes "Geordi" in a condescending way when he suggests using deflector shields, but a season or two ago some Earth vessel did just that -- used a deflector shield.

Lrr's son has one of those Mr. Burns three-eyed fish as a pet in a bowl.

    (NtM: 1:55, 3:32, 18:53)

Lrrr: "Go on -- ring the bell and invade them."

    "Forty Percent Leadbelly"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E17.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:20/1:16 in.^
  • 8:43 in.^
  • 15:05 in.

Mediocre episode that I think it's very unlikely I'll ever watch again.

Bender has 100,000 terabytes of porn stored in his memory.

Bender: "How can I be so bad at everything I try, and still be so great?"

    "The Inhuman Torch"
    https://archive.org/details/bitemyshinymetala--/S07/Futurama.S07E18.720p.BluRay.x265-HETeam.mkv

    Highlights:
  • 0:18 in.^
  • 3:00/3:39 in.^
  • 7:20 in. Power anthem.^
  • 7:59 in.^
  • 13:02 in.^
  • 14:21 in.^
  • 17:17 in.^
  • 20:19 in.^

I don't like this episode. In fact, I think it should be taken out of canon. To much stupid shit, especially the sun beings.

I understand the writers want to continue the idea of Zapp being a bumbler who causes death and destruction, but after all these seasons and all the things he did, it's now gotten to the point -- for me -- no longer believable he can continue to get away with all of this and never suffer real consequences. I hope the new season or seasons does not continue to let him just get away with such acts. EDIT: Reportedly that's what one of the new episodes will be about.

    (NtM: 2:27, 2:44, 10:17)

Bender: "Bite my shiny metal axe!"

Professor Farnsworth: "We can't have an arsonist in our midst! Four idiots and a fat guy, but no arsonists!"

The yellow flying mini thing Zoidberg is, says only "Bort". Clearly a reference to "The Simpsons".

    Loved the "G.I. Zapp" segment.

Trivia: After Leela wondered aloud about what shade of purple the new person would be, I decided to look up just how many shades of purple are there anyway. While you can of course probably just keep varying shades of purple and have probably thousands of shades, the current HEX/RGB code colors (website design use) for the shade of purple puts it at 140.

This entire episodes is off, from the writing, to the jokes, to the delivery of lines, to the characters -- it's like it was written by somebody who didn't really know the show or barely knew it.

In fact, I'd personally go as far to say this should be de-canonized.

Yes, that is Adam West and Burt Ward voicing themselves.

    Bender: "We're back, baby."

The music-identifying app Shazam is still a thing in the year 3012. It's almost as if the writers this season don't understand the show takes place a thousand years in the future, after multiple destructions of civilizations. Shazam, PayPal, Walgreens, etc.

Yes, that is Seth MacFarlane doing a Brian knock-off voice for Seymour.

Continuity Error: How did they all get into the Panic Room? It's locked from the inside and the Professor and Scruffy didn't open it.

I had to look it up, but that piece Bender and the little girl are dancing to is not an original one. It's:
Yes Sir! That's My Baby (by Coon-Sanders)

I don't particularly like the episode, but I do enjoy the Tanya girl, and I hope the Bender/Tanya rivalry continues in the new season(s).

    "I'm sorry, Zoidberg, I can't see you anymore, something's come up -- it's vomit."
(I got the perfect Zoidberg reply: "So, this vomit, are you going to eat it? If no, Zoidberg will be happy to take that vomit off your hands and shoes.")

An interesting way to end -- what at the time -- was the final end to the series. It gives us an interesting concept of how to get out of impending death when you can only go back in time ten seconds, and brings a good close to the Fry and Leela friendship/love, while at the same time proposes -- though not directly -- to the viewer the question: If you spend a life together with someone you love and had the chance to do it all over again, but lose all memories, would you?

Continuity: This episode remembers that Bender sleeps in the closet, not a bed.

Continuity Error: It actually happans inside the same episode! This is some lazy writing. So: the Professor establishes by taking the ten dollars away from Zoidberg, that when time goes back ten seconds, what happened happened, when in reality the Professor should have just been able to keep getting ten dollar bills. So when Leela gets her hand snipped off, that should have stayed snipped after Fry sent the universe back in time ten seconds.

    Bender: "Want a corn dog?"
    Little Boy: "Sure."
Bender: "Then your mom should have bought you one. HAHAHAHAHA."

While there were song feature-length specials, as a series, this marked the second cancellation/boning. The new season on Hulu is set for a current release date of July. When it's over, will Hulu be the one to give them a third cancellation?

At this time there is no word I can find online about whether or not Christopher Tyng is returning or if a new composer is taking over.
