WOW!!! I nearly tripped and fell over my chair trying to get to the monitor fast enough to read this post! I always hoped this day would come soon - I don't believe in the no-win scenario - and it finally has!!! Thank you Lukas and all! Amazing!
Interesting choice of title, for sure! It's 25 years old or so, but still feels too "contemporary" for an FSM release somehow. More in LaLaLand territory....or Intrada at most. It's definitely interesting to see them branch out into the popular, mainstream material of the 80's, though. I'm guessing we'll see more of these as we drift further and further away from that decade.
As for my own personal reaction, it will be no surprise to anyone that I'm perfectly satisfied with my old GNP release. Great score!

No Thor, you caught be my surprise. I'm shocked!
Since I still only have the LP of the score, I'll be picking this one up. Too bad it wasn't released before the FSM get together so I could have gotten Nick Meyer to sign it. Not complaining though! No wonder Lukas was hanging around him and not just because of Time After Time.
And I thought it was going to be Gremlins from the very beginning (a little disappointed), but at least Cain's Hundred gives me a totally unexpected and unheard of by me Goldsmith!. Bravo FSM!
Don't forget about the last Monday of the FSM weekly sale either!
July 20 - FSM Sale week 7 of 7: We conclude with five robust symphonic scores—Big Wednesday (Poledouris), Quentin Durward (Kaper swashbuckler) and three great Rózsa titles: Valley of the Kings/Men of the Fighting Lady, Diane and Moonfleet. $14.95 each now until next Monday (except Diane, $19.95)! We hope this seven-week sale has helped you add to your Classics collection.
I think Joe who did the artwork has out done himself again. I think this cover could be one of if not the most beautiful covers I have ever seen. EXCELLENT job man!!

Yes. I really appreciate that Joe used the Bob Peak painting for the cover. This artwork wasn't used as much when the film came out and it's truly beautiful (as is all his Trek work.)
Listening to the old release now for the first time in ages.. funny that!
The original soundtrack was one of my first soundtrack purchases and perhaps my second soundtrack not by Williams. It's really been too long since I listened to it.. I had forgotten how rousing it is. Thanks all involved.
