What about October releases first? smile

We are only hafl-way through September now... so there is probably a lot of time left and many things can change... but with one of the most anticipated scores of 2020 on my list coming in exactly one month it would be great to know if LLL might be interested in doing it...

Have I missed something, what is the forthcoming title?

Hello!

Unfortunately I've been dumb enough to let the expanded A.I. set go, and I've regretted it ever since. I've only gotten into the specialty label/expanded score business in 2017, and I had all kinds of fantastic new releases and still in print, more mainstreamly known scores to catch up on.

However, I see the LLL website still lists the release as "Out of Print", which by my understanding means the problem is not that all units were pressed and sold (Sold Out), but something like the licensing expired and however much units *could* still be pressed can't be pressed and sold now.
Since it's my only hope beside paying for a used copy with overseas shipping, or another cupboard cleaning situation like Jurassic Park a couple weeks ago (come to think of it, even that wouldn't help, I can't think of 200$ worth of stuff I'd spend in an overseas store), I'd like to ask if there's any chance the licence can be renegotiated and this fantastic release of a great score temporarily brought back.

Screen Archives just lsited a copy:

Sorry, it's gone. I just bought it for a friend who missed out. :-(

MV, any chance of releasing Face off since you worked with Powell to release Forces of Nature?

I wonder if a certain long awaited Volume 4 might be conveniently timed for release on 10/13?

Similar to Chris' question, I wonder if a certain long awaited Golden Age score will finally be ready this year, either next month or for Black Friday?

Dang it! Now I’m worried Disney/Fox deal has thrown a serious wrench into the works of the Golden Age score I was hoping for.

That deal was in place well before the last time MV updated us (early this year I think...or late last year, at least) that Diary of Anne Frank was still coming. If there are wrenches being thrown, more likely it's because of Covid, which I know has (directly or indirectly) affected a great many labels' schedules.

Well it's a Disney-made movie, so.... no.

Thanks for the update MV.

Despite no WB or golden age titles, there is still potential for great titles being announced for Black Friday!

Is WB the same as Fox/Disney?

Maybe he means releases linked to them set for the rest of the year. Could be next year.

He has elsewhere said The Adventures of Batman and Robin should be out next year, and that’s a WB title.

Aha, so X-Files 4 COULD maybe still happen this year then? Unless of course everything's delayed due to the pandemic and/or the whole Fox/Disney merger-mess has ruined that release too...

Think I got confused because I know a lot of Fox shows used to air on the old WB channel (like Buffy and Angel), but maybe X-files didnt even air on that channel for all I know, lol big grin

Current studios that are in play for rest of 2020 are (not to say we aren't working with WB and MGM for 2021 titles)

Fox/Disney
Paramount
Sony
Universal

Due to the pandemic approvals are slow

Hopefully this will rectify itself in 2021 and we will be able to get some exciting titles out

In the meantime we hope to have some really great stuff out Dec 1 (our Black Friday batch). As of right now we have no idea what will be approved in time. We've done our part...its up to the approval Gods to answer our prayers

(No crazy pricey box sets though so you can rule that out)

Does that imply you guys now have access to films released by Disney pictures, or are you only referring to properties that were originally Fox pictures?

Hi MV,
I have an unusual question:
Is there a way you could offer an option in the "order" section, for customers who live in LA to come pick up their goods?
It would remove the shipping cost from the total.

When I check the status of my order and see that it's sent from Burbank (5 minutes from where I live) and on top of paying an extra $6.50 for you to pack it (and produce more waste) and watch it travel around LA for a week when i could just come get it myself, it feels kind of absurd...
