This MCA LP is a French western compilation from 1982 with just one cue - probably the Main Title taken directly from the movie itself - from Harline's THE LAST FRONTIER: http://www.cdandlp.com/item/2/0-1604-0-1-0/2300017260/bandes-originales-de-western-les-classiques-bandes-originales-de-western.html There is also one track each from the famous westerns HIGH NOON, MAN WITHOUT A STAR, THE TALL MEN, DUEL IN THE SUN, RUN OF THE ARROW, JOHNNY GUITAR, NEVADA SMITH, BIG VALLEY, SHENANDOAH, VILLA RIDES, WILL PENNY, PAINT YOUR WAGON, CUSTER OF THE WEST and TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARAH on this LP. So all in all nothing special.

This MCA LP is a French western compilation from 1982 with just one cue - probably the Main Title taken directly from the movie itself - from Duning's THE LAST FRONTIER: How did Duning get into this? It's a Leigh Harline score. Sorry, that was of course my fault. Just mixed them up for the moment.

it would be interesting to know if the complete score could be available , if anyone has heard it, and what their opinions they have of the music. thank you. This title came up on a thread about a year ago, and both manderley and haineshisway indicated that because it's a Columbia picture, a soundtrack release at this point would be less likely to happen than with some of the other studios. But no description or opinion regarding the music itself. I'm still of that opinion, but with the unexpected Golden Age soundtrack releases we've gotten the past year or so, particularly from Mr. Bruce Kritzerland, who knows? Still....it's Columbia and that library has not been much released yet. For the present, I'll have to stick with my nice DVD of THE LAST FRONTIER---in scope and stereophonic sound. (As a matter of record, THE LAST FRONTIER also has another title, SAVAGE WILDERNESS, that it is sometimes known by.)
