He also played an arab antagonist for Mostafa Akkad's THE MESSAGE. The film was scored by Maurice Jarre which won an Oscar nomination.
Michael Ansara was born in Syria.

The only role I knew him for was as Mr. Freeze on
Batman: The Animated Series
and its various spin-offs.
He always did a fantastic job making Freeze menacing while never losing sight of his humanity.
"Ah yes, it would move me to tears, if I still had tears left to shed."
