In Ridley Scott's PROMETHEUS there is a scene where an astronaut is trapped in a cave on an alien planet. He is stranded there with another crew member and can not get back to his ship. It is dark and one can hardly see anything. Suddenly, a slimy snake -like creature slithers nearby. It raises its head and stares at the astronaut. If you were him would you: a. take a closer look b. run like hell c. take a weapon out d. ACT LIKE IT'S A kitten , go up to it ,reach out your hand ,whispering "aw , come here little fella, don"t be afraid i won't hurt you" and touch it? e. ask yourself "what would Tall Guy do? answer below bruce

If I recall, the character in the film did D. I would do a combination of B and C. But then, I would outlive the script's intention for my character, and get fired. Oh well...

I would substitute Dennis Nedry complete with famous last words directly into the movie at that point because: e. please xpound brm

e) he would probably bend down and stamp on it. whilst singing Marching on Together.* *for those unfamiliar with this famous but poignant theme, it is a Leeds chart song sung by the likes of Paul Reaney, Norman Hunter, allan clarke for some FA cup final release years ago when the word dirty went before the other two words. ha ha

If you answered e, you go into a prize draw to win an evening out with Bruce Marshall. Second prize is two evenings. TG

So sorry, Mr M. It's the scene from Jurassic Park where Nedry is attempting to pass on dinosaur DNA to corporate rivals at the Isla Nublar dock. He never makes it there because he meets his . . . ancestor . . . and has a STICKY end. . yeah, whilst watching PORMO i thought of that exact scene!!!!!

Thats true - that scene was fairly 'groanifying', in that we (playing one of the roles ourselves) are stranded for X time in an alien environment. At the moment, we are standing around, biding our time, in what is - even without [SPOILER] the snake goop - easily the most hazardous or potentially hazardous area we have yet discovered. A Plus B and C. what about these alleged 'scientists" taking off their helmets because the android told them it was "safe" didn't they see the first ALIEN flic?? LOL! oh, oh! the crew has been travellng for two plus years yet when when they arrive they can't wait a few hours more to go spelunking - even though the captain warns them that there is only "5 hours of daylight left"!!!!????? id...id... idiots!

...Newcastle upon Tyne on a Friday neet, the Marks & Spencers sandwich counter at Brent Cross and a Saturday afternoon at Upton Park. Yep, many a football fan has run the length of Green Street faster than Usain Bolt running the 4 x 400 on his own! Or kinda like Cornel Wilde in the Naked Prey!! *Small fact but the visitors end to Upton Park tube station is actually a few yards over 600 metres, so you need plenty of stamina. Or in TG's case - long strides!! Cinemascope - actors showing photos of their kids - love it!! Before 1963 - and mostly during 50s British warfilms - these were always Cockney corporals. Until Michael Caine and Terence Stamp made it trendy to be a Cockney lead!
