The end theme always breaks me up. so emotionally sad and touching.Beautiful music.
VERY very very sad. I cry too, but I just love this sappy dramatic music. The re-recording on one of the old Varese Delerue albums is a great one which is what I had before the Intrada edition.
I listened again to this score again today. My God, you are right. The final 2 tracks are indeed achingly sad. The more I listen to Georges Delerue, the more I want to.
Oh yes a common trait for a lot of people. He was so prolific and there is so much beauty in so many of his scores. It would take years to hear everything he did and I am sure for many right down to the last one you found of his there would be another beautiful piece to be heard. Even though at times one will find some similarities in his arraignment. He was so prolific he surely can be forgiven for that. The greatest composer in the world could not deliver a pure new style on every piece they wrote, But like MR MORRICONE his large output of fine music is grand.
