I liked Homefront a lot. It probably could have used a bit more action, but it's more of an action-drama than a straight-on action flick. I thought it did well showing a different, more family man-oriented side to Jason Statham, and I found James Franco effective as a scumbag bad guy. I also liked that the romantic interest was as big a subplot as I thought it was going to be. It could have been really cliched and distracting, but they planted just enough hints and suggestions for us to detect that a possible relationship was developing between Statham and Lefevre, without it becoming a primary focus. That was a nice change. I also thought Statham and the young actress playing his daughter were really good together.
