The BBC have released their World Cup title trail. I wouldn't post this except for it including 1) Lampard's disallowed goal from 2010 (get over it already!) and 2) Kane's statue coming out of the ground alongside Neymar and Iniesta. I wasn't aware Kane could play like like those two. The Beeb doing their best to whip my fellow Englishmen into hysteria once again.

Spain have announced their 23 man squad.

Andres Iniesta will have his international swansong at the World Cup following his last ever game for Barcelona yesterday.

Chelsea's Morata, Fabregas and Alonso, and Arsenal's Bellerin, have not been selected.

Harry Kane to be England captain for the World Cup. It was originally awarded to Henderson, but Kane has claimed it...

They fkn love a dodgy, meaningless and misleading stat on sky dont they. Headline is "harry kane at 24 becomes england's youngest captain....to lead a team To a world cup."
Bobby moore was englands youngest captain at 22!!!. In 1964.
But led the england team to Win the fkn thing 2 years later.

World Cup Bulletin

United and Argentina keeper Sergio Romero has been ruled out of the World Cup with a knee injury. Romero was first choice keeper for his country. Tigres UANL goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman has replaced him. However, Romero's wife hit back in an interview: “There’s nothing broken. It’s a piece of loose cartilage. The doctors told him he was OK for the World Cup. The recovery [from the injury] is two to three weeks maximum. But with how my husband is and the effort he puts in he could be ready for the first game. There are many people that want him out. They said it was broken to justify it. I’m tired of the lies. I don’t know if those that speak are inept, uninformed, cowardly or have personal interest, which in all cases would be the worst reasons.”

PSG's Adrien Rabiot has refused to be on France's standby list for the World Cup. Rabiot made 45 appearances in all competitions for PSG in 2017-18, winning a domestic treble. France manager Didier Deschamps told him to 'grow up'.

Will Smith has released the official World Cup song, Live It Up, alongside Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi.

The captains of Australia, Denmark and France have asked Fifa to lift the ban on Paolo Guerrero - the skipper of group rivals Peru - so he can play at this summer's World Cup in Russia. Guerrero, who tested positive for prohibited substance cocaine in October - he says he ingested it by drinking tea - is serving a 14-month ban.

There all the good pick's looking at Southgate's squad, i don't think he was influenced by the F.A. as previous managers were.

I did hear the media saying again about youngsters they need time, that's B.S. if this team don't make the semi's at least then its failure.

Löw has dropped Leroy Sane from The German squad. Quite a surprise. Less of a surprise is Benteke and Bendter being dropped from the Belgium and Denmark squads respectively.

Already heard the Daily Telegraph's Patrick Barclay waffling on about England being 'the last great underachievers'. Rubbish. They're at their level, which is mediocre.

Saw an interview with Vincente Del Bosque recently - the ex-Spain manager who won the World Cup in 2010. He said England were tactically inept. Not reported by the British media of course.

One less West Ham player for Bill to worry about coming home injured from Russia... because he's injured already. Argentina's Manuel Lanzini.

The 100% generic and not memorable at all music from the tv opening is by Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe.

It would appear the Spain manager with the unpronounceable name has been relived of his duties following the announcement by Royal Madrid that he is to become their manager. Looks like the Spanish federation and some of the players weren't too happy with how it's all been cloak and dagger. I'm guessing they will try to bring Del Bosque back.
