RCA Living Stereo Box 1 Disc 22
The disc from this collection I was most familiar with as the local library had the LP of Gaite Parisienne and I repeatedly borrowed it.

One of Fiedler's very best - superb early stereo sound, amazing vividness and orchestral colour!
This is unsurpassed!

I'm so pleased with this box so far. Although I am not a big opera fan and there are some opera recordings towards the end of this box and in box 2. I grew up listening to Fiedler and the Boston Pops and watched them when I could on PBS. There are some Living Stereo Boston Pops recordings that are not included in the 2 boxes. I also wish they had included Victory at Sea. Can't have everything.

Beethoven: Symphonies nos. 5 & 1 - Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen/Paavo Järvi

One of the best examples of historically informed approach to these two LvB symphonies - quick, biting, transparent, propulsive readings!

Elina ~ The best of Elina Garanca

Includes the magical 'Flower Duet' from Delibes' Lakmé (with Anna Netrebko) which was the main reason I bought this anthology. Great voice - and she's not bad to look at either! cool

A very good, contemporary Viola Concerto (Holocaust Requiem). There's another recording under Marc Taddei, which I also own. Eager to hear how this one compares.
