Shut up! We're not all rich!

This! big grin

I mentioned something similar around this time last year. You can't blame the labels for so many releases and wanting to make some money, but Christmas is coming and some of us have other priorities and having hard earned cash to be spent elsewhere. Unfortunately my budget for Soundtrack CDs this time of year is very limited.

Huh. For some reason I thought these releases were on the 27th.

I can understand that having been a problem when the labels used to have that mad-rush limited edition release schedule, where they would sell out in a few hours. But since they dropped that tactic, releases tend to hang around a while for those to be able to get them at their own convenience

Yes. fair point and that does help to budget things somewhat better, though even then I think I've missed out on one or two in the past.

I wonder if next year, in addition to the forthcoming Volume 3 X-Files set that we know is coming, and potentially an I Want to Believe expansion (since we were told there were going to be multiple X-Files releases coming), we will see a soundtrack release for the forthcoming miniseries in January?

Am I imagining things or did MV say they were going to do it?

So...any news on this month's releases?

Isn't it time there was a fresh thread for La-La Land news? This gargantuan one takes an age to load each time, on my computer at least. As we enter another year, why not an "All News La La Land (LLL) 2016" thread?

That doesn't make any sesne. It's not loading the whole thread, it's loading the page it goes to or that you chose. The thread can be one thousand pages.

FSM has been slow for a few months now, on/off. This moment it's fine.

LLL's FB page says, since Dec 11:

"We'll be back Jan 12 with our first new release for 2016.

Until then have a safe and happy holiday season."

So we have to wait next week. smile

I took that to mean that the first new title of the year would be released on 12th January, and would be promoted beforehand. I guess I'm wrong?

If the first release is a week away, LLL would still announce the title a week in advance, so we should expect some announcement today. Or even their customary flyer for the month of January.

It looks like the third disc has episode titles which were included on Volume 1. Different cues, I assume.

I wonder if we're getting a February flyer. La-La Land didn't post one for January (though perhaps the reason for that was that they were still on holidays at the beginning of January?).

I told you guys last month we will most likely not do flyers any more since our schedule is a bit unreliable.

That said on Feb 9 we have 1 La La Land title and 1 signed Sparks and Shadows release

X Files Vol 1 reissue - same content as before but this set does not include the slipcase. It's also only $39.98 and limited to 2000 units

The Forest - signed by Bear McCreary. Signed copies limited to 240 units.

As of right now nothing is scheduled for February 23
