1941 reissue delay had nothing to do with approvals. It had to do with a special screening event of the long cut of the film that was supposed to coincide with the Blu Ray Box Set released last October. The reissue of 1000 units were produced specifically for that reason, but plans fell through and we have been sitting on them for months now waiting to see if another screening may happen. At this time, there are talks for a late March screening (as there were talks for December, January, and February), but we need to release these bad boys sooner since we need to make the money back we already spent on them.

It's the same release as before, but the copyright has been changed to 2014 and the tray card now states LIMITED EDITION OF 1000 UNITS

Hope that clears a few things up

Thanks so much MV. I missed out on the first round and have been looking for it at a reasonable price for the last few months. This announcement made my day! smile

LLL's February was just announced on Facebook.

2/10
Kingsman: The Secret Service (Henry Jackman & Matthew Margeson)
The Interview/This is the End (Henry Jackman) - 5000 units
Ladyhawke (2CD set - Andrew Powell) - 3000 units

2/24
1941 (reissue - John Williams) - 1000 units
Dying of the Light (Frederik Wiedmann) - 1000 units

I'm actually really looking forward to both of Jackman's scores. I'm a fan of a lot of his works. I wish that Kick Ass could get an official release, but I'm very curious about Kingsman.

All 3 scores are great, but Kingsman has been on a constant loop on my ipod. It's FANTASTIC!

jackman can be hit or miss but usually with the right type of popcorn flight he's always right on the money. I don't think he's ever done a bad job for Vaughn so I am really looking forward to hearing kingsman as well. can you release it a week early?

Thanks for clarifying MV. Although I picked this up in its initial run I'm happy for those who missed it. Also looking forward to more Williams goodies from LLL in the near future (wink wink).

Great News!

La La Land gearing up for another JOHN WILLIAMS title for a possible May release!

Here is what LLL post on their Facebook Empire of the Sun message:

Did I mention that we are wrapping up another William's expansion now? Artwork goes into the studio for approval shortly. Hopefully by May we will see the final product.

I'll say the Gates at Warner bros have been opened wink let the speculation begin!

I am sure what ever this title is it will be a good seller, I for one am already looking forward to this.

On a seperate note is the 'Golden Age' title which was mentioned in November 2014 still coming out in the coming months

Good to know but pure speculation on my part...since last time was EMPIRE OF THE SUN, here we are hoping that more titles like JFK, HARRY POTTER, AI are in the works? And of course Universal has so many goodies stored in for us..

Well, I keep a nice list of all John Williams scores organized by Studio here:

http://www.jwfan.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24564

As you can see, Fox and MGM have been very kind for JW expansions, and we've made some progress at Paramount and Warner Bothers but there are so many titles left to expand....

Good opportunity for the Herrmann fans to get THE EGYPTIAN one more time. [Dont miss this again, you fools! wink ] Here's hoping its the same Varese Club representation. Nice artwork--looks like a job done by Jim Titus!

I'm curious about the Goldsmith's MAGIC re-issue since I have the previous VCL edition. Paving way for those who missed out unless its an improvement on the sound quality.

I'll certainly get THE EGYPTIAN again for new artwork and, hopefully, more substantial liner notes.
