I'll go with the TV movie "The Warriors." There was one in development a few years ago, but it was stalled by some rights issues. The original hasn't aged too well, although it still maintains a spooky atmosphere and nice cinematography. But I think a remake could be pretty good, and I'd welcome a return to the original slave-worker zombie. If they are doing pointless low budget sequels anyway, why not remake it with a proper budget, cast, director... That film should be remade every 10 years as a warning because the obsession of the Western world with all things youth is pathetic, destructive, stupid and irritating. The least interesting segment of the human race is getting all the attention and air time, and it has to stop. "Logan's run" is well suited an analogy to point out the dangerous sides of society's unfounded longing for being that phase in a life where the human animal has its head furthest up its arse. What does your comments have to do with my desire to see a better more faithful reboot of the franchise?    Posted:   Jun 10, 2013 - 9:34 AM     By:   philiperic   (Member) Its a tv- movie - but grade A - that deserves a 1st class big screen remake - THE LEGEND OF LIZZIE BORDEN I liked the James Bast treatment a lot as well as Lizzie Montgomery as LB but some of the facts are wrong and more detail is needed- so a rewrite or rethink of the whole lizzie borden story and trial would have to be done, especially whether she was guilty or not - the tv version was pretty clear on her guilt/innocence - but there are many possible scenarios . A more ambiguous resolution that might suggest more than one possibilty , leaving it up to the viewer to decide , would be fascinating. I thought it was going to happen, recently; but, that seems to have disappeared. I'd like a remake that restores some of the energy that was inherent in the original stage production. Something a bit more cinematic with a use of some location photography. However, this movie didn’t film a lot of novel. It only took parts of the novel. I’d like to see a remake of Kesey’s novel where the movie is narrated by the Chief and where his story is as significant as McMurphy’s story. They are intertwined. Too much of the first movie dropped the social commentaries and just focused on McMurphy’s battle with Nurse Ratched. The original was great.
