Year of the Comet - hopefully this will include the rejected John Barry score isolated (!)

Baby Boom - wonder if they found the missing score tapes

How to Steal a Million - at last, another Twilight Time John Williams isolated release

Probably too much to hope that the John Barry music for YEAR OF THE COMET would be on there. It'd be great though. It would be nice to hear Hummie Mann's isolated score. There are some nice things in the film that aren't on the excellent Varese album.

I'm not familiar with TT, will the BABY BOOM score be isolated too?

Twilight Time always provides an isolated score, if I'm not mistaken...

More accurately a separate audio channel of soundtrack music with or without effects.

29 years? I got that beat (for my grails). wink

BB is unlikely unless the full tapes have been found. One Intrada forum user's obsessive post repeating the name of the film in regards to the score, got this response from Roger back on February 10, 2010:

MISSING REELS! MISSING REELS! MISSING REELS! MISSING REELS! MISSING REELS!

In that case, I expect TT will provide a music and effects track, which I believe is what they typically do if score can't be fully isolated.

Even if the music masters are lost, a split track may exist they could use as a source for the BD. Worst case scenario they use the Music & Effects instead--not ideal, but better than nothing.

Fortunately BABY BOOM doesn't have many effects, but even if it did it IS better than nothing.smile

I'm still reeling that you were unfamiliar with the Twilight Time blu-ray label. wink

In that case, I expect TT will provide a music and effects track, which I believe is what they typically do if score can't be fully isolated.

Some of their recent releases seem to by hybrids, where some cues are clean music-only stereo, while other cues are music & effects or music-only stems (some dialog bleed).

IF this includes the effects and score, it's better than nothing and I'll take it! Who knows, maybe they did find stuff. We'll know next year smile

I'm more excited to find out whether John Barry's rejected score to Year of the Comet is on the BD.
