Do you know why I'm excited? Because I saw an announcement today about the final season of Adam-12 coming soon (if it was announced previously, I missed it). I've been waiting to get the season sets until it was certain that all of them would be released (been burned too many times!). And at last, I can revisit a show I haven't seen since I was 8 or 9 years old. It's gonna be fun!!

David, you weren't reading my January 10 entry! I think I did, but either I forgot or I didn't realize it was the final season. Sometimes I'm scanning posts very quickly and intend to go back and better absorb, but don't get to it. You know what I'd like to see released? A show from the '60s that AntennaTV airs late Saturday nights called....err...Suspense Theatre, I think. Ring any bells? I like what I've seen so far, particularly a Robert Ryan episode that was very compelling.

If MTM seasons 5 - 7 didn't sell well enough from the Fox perspective (I don't know if they did or didn't), there's not a sliver of a chance for Bob.

Not to mention "The Felony Squad" which cries out for a release. FELONY SQUAD will never get released on dvd. It would seem that some enterprising independent label like Timeless would release a show like this. But, since Fox refuses to license their shows out to anyone else, it won't happen. Fox WAS licensing some of their tv titles to Shout like PEYTON PLACE, but as Shout was preparing a volume 3 release Fox demanded more money than Shout was willing to pay, and that killed the deal. The biggest problem with most of these tv shows from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's is that unless they have a huge cult following to this day, nobody remembers them except a handful of tv collectors, like us. Here's a SHORT list of tv shows I'd love to see released on dvd, but will most likely never happen: FELONY SQUAD HAWK DAN AUGUST JUDD FOR THE DEFENSE THE NAME OF THE GAME RUN FOR YOUR LIFE THE OUTSIDER GET CHRISTIE LOVE OWEN MARSHALL, COUNSELOR AT LAW THE BOLD ONES THE SILENT FORCE THE MOST DEADLY GAME HEC RAMSEY TENAFLY COOL MILLION CORONET BLUE CITY OF ANGELS THE SIXTH SENSE THE EVIL TOUCH DELVECCHIO GEMINI MAN THE IMMORTAL THE MAGICIAN PETROCELLI TOMA MOST WANTED SWITCH STRIKE FORCE SALVAGE 1 MASQUERADE A MAN CALLED SLOANE TRAPPER JOHN, MD There are many, many more. The Warner archive COULD release a lot of the vintage tv titles like 77 SUNSET STRIP, HAWAIIAN EYE, SURFSIDE 6, ASSIGNMENT: VIENNA, THE DELPHI BUREAU, BRONK, BANYON, etc.. But will they? Supposedly they have SEARCH and HARRY O in the pipeline, so we'll see. Den

Well some good news today with the news that "Streets of San Francisco" gets unstalled from three years limbo with both volumes of S3 coming on July 3. The same day will also bring us S7 of "Mannix" which only has one year to go now.
