Here's another that might interest Monte-Dave, mostly because he was apparently cut quite the swath in the 1970's with his moustache, and this video has moustaches, moustaches, moustaches, just like the 70's.
Mansome - a documentary by Morgan Spurlock about male hair grooming.
WARNING! Two handsome male celebrities are shown in a bathtub together in this trailer! If you don't want to see two men doing this don't play this video. No, no, no.
I did indeed see 'Shelter' a few years ago. I enjoyed it a great deal, the acting was above par, and after returning it to Netflix, I bought it for 20 Lira from Amazon. It's so much sexier in Italian
Haven't gotten around to Keep the Lights on yet. It's still hiding around in my queue.
I did see Shelter years back. My boy had it on DVD and put it on. Pretty good for an independent gay movie.
I also recently watched A Single Man on Netflix and quite enjoyed it. Another gay movie that slipped past me. My review is in the review thread on the last page.
Just finished watching Keep the Lights on. The fiance and I were not impressed. As he said, the movie could have been 15-20 minutes long if the moronic main character wasn't such an idiot. The only positive was it wasn't as depressing as it looked in the trailers. Totally not worth watching.

I'm really looking forward to Keep the Lights on Looks like a solid film to watch with my boyfriend.
And when you see it, Sirus, tell me if you think the best friend "Clare" looks and sounds a lot like another actress.
I keep hoping MontanaDave will watch this film to answer the request I made of Sirus above.
I did rent 'Keep the Lights On' and HATED IT, intensely. I didn't even finish it. Though I remember while watching it (I gave up on the two loser-leads early on), I watched to guess where exactly in Manhattan and Chelsea and The Village they were.
There was a film called 'STRANGER BY THE LAKE' that I put in my Netflix que some time ago because it had a favorable review by The N.Y.Times. When I viewed the film about a week ago, I could not understand the praise it merited. It's a French Film and when you view this film which has 'No Rating', you will obviously see WHY it has no rating. Nothing any of us haven't done in our bedrooms, or on the front-hood of our cars, but when it occurred onscreen a few times, well.. The film is billed as a French Gay Murder/Thriller. The Cameraman (a woman actually I think), never leaves the shore of a lake and cruising area of bushes in this film, making the cruising and the sex become...boring and completely unexciting. The film never left the bushes and the lake, and the same bushes and the same rocky sunning area of the lake. People come and people go and they come back the next day and the next day, until I think the leaves start to fall from the trees. If Lars Von Trier makes a gay thriller (and I hope he doesn't), it would probably have more energy than this. Who'd have thought The French could make a deadly-dull sex thriller? Thinking back on this, there are scenes of gay men walking around in the background and in the foreground of these trees and bushes and rocks and I swear it could almost be taken as out-takes of scenes of 'Walkers' stumbling around in 'The Walking Dead'.
Yeah I wasn't very excited by the trailers in Stranger by the Lake. Sometimes I wonder what critics like about these French films. You know, those really slow moving french films that feel like they are 5 hours long.

Strange movie. Like you, could not understand the good reviews. I could see an emerging theme of how the constant cruising takes the heart out of relationships. And there were moments of intentional creepiness. But that ending! Just crazy. As well as the device of having ALL the action take place around the lake, which becomes unrealistic in the last quarter of the film. (I could go on, but I don't want to get into spoilers...)
Although, frankly, I don't when all you guys find the time to watch all these movies.
I'd have to be glued to my TV to catch up with you.
Had a helluva time finally seeing all the GAME OF THRONES episodes. (Which, I thought, though kind of comparatively superficial, were actually better than the books...)

This thread is 4 years old, so we've stretched them out over time.
