Another franchise will be ruined...

You should complain about it in an online forum, I hear that helps... wink

Confirmed by McQ himself on Twitter. Also, what should I listen to of his?

What should I listen to of his?

Lego Batman, Home, he did a lot of the Robert Downey Sherlock Holmes, Penguins of Madagascar. Definitely start with Lego Batman

I really liked RDJ's Holmes score, I didn't know he was part of it. Will give LEGO Batman a listen.

This disappoints me so much. And the damn of it is that Balfe is a pretty good composer...when he has an animated movie to work with (Lego Batman, Penguins of Madagascar, Megamind), but when it comes to live-action, he could not give a micro-fraction of a shit.

And seriously, Cruise disliked Kraemer's Rogue Nation score? Fookin' midget.

Only a matter of time before James Bond gets him.

What if Balfe´s score turns out to be good?

I´m not a fan of his previous work either - but still, shouldn't one wait and experience a piece of art before one can say one dislikes it?

I like Balfe too. At least 10 years ago, I think he wrote some of Zimmer's best music.

If the score turns out not shi...good, we can all say it's his army of co-writers who did all the best bits.

What if Balfe´s score turns out to be good?

How in the world would that even be measured? There is always some amount of people who like mediocrity or crap. It would basically have to be on a special level that transcends that, such as "Ben Hur", "Conan the Barbarian" and "Jaws" levels.

The scoring process begins...

Balfe, "Alexa, write me a score for Mission Impossible 6"
Alexa, "Computing"
