I feel a... BALFE in the air.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! And no Jablonsky either!

Seconded!

Thirded! Would Cruise opt for those two? Maybe Margeson on the basis of The Kingsmen? Powell (if he has time) on the basis of Knight and Day?

David Arnold would be such a great idea - and a deserved nod.

According to JWFan user elvisjones:

Lorne Balfe is currently scoring the movie. He wrote the music in the trailer and also in some EPK about the stunt.

If THAT is true, how far have we fallen? Jesus, I'd take Jackman over Balfe, though apparently Balfe arranged ninety seconds of Kool & The Gang music for The Florida Project that was goddamn magical. Maybe he'll be arranging more Kool & The Gang for this, too.

My reaction to the news: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ3j5jp5IoY

He's in London where the film is still been shot: https://twitter.com/Lornebalfe/status/963106237691908096

Someone please explain how we've gone from Kraemer to this.

Isn't this the twat composer who pissed all over his profession or something?

David Arnold..., right, we wish...you guys are either joking or so disconnected from how LA runs now. Why do we even care about this anymore??

No law against dreaming...yet.

Balfe. Well, I'm not mad. Just disappointed. I'll still see the film (it looks amazeballs), and wonder what could've been.

To Sean...yeah...he laughed at other composers who mentioned and used 'proper musical terms' wink for wasting their time when he knew how to shit the stuff out on his 'lectronics.
I have an adverse allergic reaction whenever I see his name mentioned.
Makes me wanna Balf...er vomit.

Thanks for the confirm Kev- I just know in my cobwebbed brain (think the storage warehouse in DREAMCATCHER....with more files!) Balfe= bad Zim-minion, avoid.
The files as to why are misplaced ;-p

Some interview around a J.D. Salinger biopic, score, I think. Anyway, will see the film, looking forward to those BIG LOUD drums and lots of Dm!!!

Say it isn't so... Both Cruise and McQuarrie have shown good taste when it comes to choosing a composer in the past. It's just that I don't consider Balfe to be a composer. It's not in my nature to diss composers even the ones I'm not fond of but Balfe...really? This franchise has such a good track record in the music department, they all delivered some of their best work. How do guys like that get these assignments?! Pity cause the movie looks ace (again).

Sounds 'interesting'. But I really find the worship shpeel associated with Cruise a bit much in this clip even though I like Cruise's movies for what they are and appreciate the effort he puts into them.
