I'm curious- this was available for 2 years. Did you not want it when it came out?

Perhaps Intrada can be persuaded to release a limited Vol.2. There's still a LaSalle and a Hagen score unreleased. And if I read the Starlog interview with LaSalle correctly, there's also Fox music from VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA and LAND OF THE GIANTS adapted and re-orchestrated by Lionel Newman that was used for library music on the show. It might not sell as well as the Schifrin but you could probably move 1,000 copies.

A glimmer of hope for those still searching: According to Movie Grooves, "This item is currently being re-stocked," so perhaps they managed to secure an order with Intrada before it sold out, and will be offering some copies for sale once the shipment arrives. http://www.moviegrooves.com/shop/planetapestvshowsoundtrack.htm I pulled a "just in case" and requested a e-mail notice from them before the MIM order. Who knows. I'm curious- this was available for 2 years. Did you not want it when it came out? Current limited finances + supply updates + awareness of a score + expensive emergencies = a missed opportunity. Not every score can be had at initial release or even down the road, and even if so, there's no time to scan each and every CD for its status, let alone remember them by rote. My dependence for stock updates can become make or break decisions. Hell, that's mainly why I visit this forum. I'm not too bummed, or at least, not as much as I was for missing Predator and The Robe, but I've been saved from the eScalp menace many a time with this strategy. This is just one of the few that got away. Hear that, Intrada? Lil' help here?

One more possibility. I'd say move quickly. http://www.intermezzomedia.com/ Ordered, I guess, with slight difficulty (thank you, WordReference.com!). Grazie infinite, Ennio.

Maybe the reason many people left this to the last minute is... they didn't really want it. But now it has run out, it's suddenly that much more "attractive" to the hunting instincts. From my listening experience of it, the CD was hardly worth buying when it was easily-available, let alone going to the trouble of tracking it down. That's not my reason. It was on my massive wishlist since its announcement.... emphasis on "massive". Hard to find some items as reminders, sometimes.

" From my listening experience of it, the CD was hardly worth buying when it was easily-available, let alone going to the trouble of tracking it down." This is challenging music that requires more than one listen. My appreciation has grown upon each encounter. Damned straight.

This is challenging music that requires more than one listen. My appreciation has grown upon each encounter. Absolutely. I've only recently started appreciating the non-Jerry scores and Tom Scott's Conquest/Apes has been getting more playing time than ever before, now that I've finally "gotten" how good that score is. I didn't even know that Conquest existed until about ten years ago, as it never got played in syndication in this neck of the woods. I do, however, fondly recall the show and the TV movies made from it, like "Farewell To the Planet of the Apes" and "Life, Liberty and Pursuit On the Planet of the Apes", to name a couple. I'm also surprised that the FSM discs of the Apes haven't been wiped out yet.
