I wish the good people at Intrada would return to "golden age " scores. My only Intrada purchase this year was at the beginning of the year...the wonderful THE HEIRESS / THE RED PONY.

Well Intrada has had comparatively few releases this year in general, but they have had some Silver Age releases like The Hustler (Kenyon Hopkins) and that Rosenman twofer. Plus DuckTales and even Sky High should delight fans of thematic-based scores. They're both fairly Golden Age in approach.

But I'm with you on hoping Intrada will be able to rescue some more worthy pre-1960 gems, particularly if they can tackle some Korngold!

Since I missed out on the Kritzerland issue, I think I might have to look in on this. My favorite Intrada 3-Disc set so far is still Conan the Barbarian. This is a keeper till I die.

Doesn't seem that long ago the Kritzerland release came out. Not sure I need 3 cds of it, the Kritzerland is pretty damn great, but will be interesting to see what else Intrada have unearthed.

Agree with Conan, it's a stunning release, but still waiting on Intrada for the definitive Destroyer release.

I love this score. So I'll probably buy it again for the 6th time depending on the extras (1-LP, 2-Intrada CD, 3- Intrada Expanded, 4- Varese Slightly More expanded, 5- Kritzerland complete)...

Schiffy, I just wanna know what you've been grumpy about.

I need to drop thirty pounds. And a mover is suing me. And I have a heel spur.

Also, I don't like the score for "Poltergeist II." But I dislike the heel spur more.

I did not pick up the Kritzerland release, so this Poltergeist II release would be great.

Three CDs for yet another re-issue. And of course it will fetch the $30 price-tag, plus shipping.

And some wonder what happened to this market.

Of course you didn't.

You know, we could have done another 1000, surely, but a) it was not that quick a sellout, and b) I felt there'd been enough releases of this score. I also knew someone would be going after it because that's what this is all about these days.

I own all previous editions but probably still won't be able to resist this.

Sorry but your heel spur comment made me laugh Schiffy. There should be a new thread inspired by you. "Soundtracks that are more painful than a heel spur."

Dude, Poltergeist II!! AGAIN!! Could it be?? It fits the clues.

I will buy this for the booklet and liner notes which Intrada does so well!! I thought this was the only problem I had with the Kritzerland. I will be buying this release also!

I am in for purchasing this for sure if it is Poltergeist II ....

but please someone please expand or re-issue Poltergeist III with that cool poster artwork. I know people bash this score but I love it.

I have a couple of versions of Poltergeist II.
I think another release will mean it's been released and re-released more times than I've listened to the ones I have.

I just pray someone will finally separate all the tracks appropriately!

I'm sure there are already Robocop II threads.

I never guess these right, but love reading what you guys come up with as one of you is usually correct or several of you. Either way, I'm sure we'll all love it!

While I enjoyed the lengthy debate between Doug Fake and Bruce; I finally managed to acquire the Kritzerland 2CD issue after it sold out and though that pretty much covered everything for me. That album was a revelation and I enjoyed it.

Oh well, now I'm both curious and intrigued as to what disc 3 would hold? Lets see.

POLTERGEIST 2 would by my first guess (I can't see how this can be anything else), and yes, I enjoyed that very debate too.
I don't have any stakes in this, it's a great score. I admit I missed out on the Kritzerland edition, but everyone seems to prefer its sound. Maybe I will get this release some day.
Somewhat ironic Bruce Botnick and Jerry Goldsmith would prepare a master for home listening and everybody who listens at home prefers their film mastering?

I missed the debate and only heard about it in this very thread. Where is it? What's going on!
