I wish the good people at Intrada would return to "golden age " scores. My only Intrada purchase this year was at the beginning of the year...the wonderful THE HEIRESS / THE RED PONY. Well Intrada has had comparatively few releases this year in general, but they have had some Silver Age releases like The Hustler (Kenyon Hopkins) and that Rosenman twofer. Plus DuckTales and even Sky High should delight fans of thematic-based scores. They're both fairly Golden Age in approach. But I'm with you on hoping Intrada will be able to rescue some more worthy pre-1960 gems, particularly if they can tackle some Korngold! Yavar

I did not pick up the Kritzerland release, so this Poltergeist II release would be great.

Three CDs for yet another re-issue. And of course it will fetch the $30 price-tag, plus shipping. And some wonder what happened to this market.

You know, we could have done another 1000, surely, but a) it was not that quick a sellout, and b) I felt there'd been enough releases of this score. I also knew someone would be going after it because that's what this is all about these days.

Sorry but your heel spur comment made me laugh Schiffy. There should be a new thread inspired by you. "Soundtracks that are more painful than a heel spur." I'm sure there are already Robocop II threads.

I never guess these right, but love reading what you guys come up with as one of you is usually correct or several of you. Either way, I'm sure we'll all love it!

POLTERGEIST 2 would by my first guess (I can't see how this can be anything else), and yes, I enjoyed that very debate too. I don't have any stakes in this, it's a great score. I admit I missed out on the Kritzerland edition, but everyone seems to prefer its sound. Maybe I will get this release some day. Somewhat ironic Bruce Botnick and Jerry Goldsmith would prepare a master for home listening and everybody who listens at home prefers their film mastering?
