I'm looking forward to the physical release of this score. I'm a fan of the show and the samples I listened to sound indeed better than what I remembered from watching the TV episodes. (BTW, I was never fond of McCreary's BSG music but I very much like "The Cape" and of course his magnum opus, "Human Target".) Magnum opus (noun): a large and important work of art, music, or literature, especially one regarded as the most important work of an artist or writer. Regardless of your personal feelings on BSG, it is the only work that can qualify as Bear's magnum opus so far. It was both his first and in many ways most ambitious TV project and between 4 seasons and 3 TV movies, it has also been one of, if not his longest project to date. By contrast, McCreary only worked on Human Target for the first of its two seasons on FOX.

Does anyone know what happened to the physical release of this CD? Initially, Amazon had a release date of October 2. But October 2 came and went and then the status changed to temporarily out of stock.

Looks like Bear helped answer our question about where he pulled the various tracks from. Biggest surprise? The Overture seems to have been recorded separately and not pulled directly from score material. 1. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Overture 2. Showdown at Union Station (“Pilot” & “The Bridge”) 3. 0-8-4 (“0-8-4?) 4. Rocket Launch (“0-8-4?) 5. The Obelisk (“Shadows”) 6. Aftermath of the Uprising (“Turn, Turn, Turn”) 7. Gravitonium (“The Asset”) 8. Cal (“One of Us”) 9. Cello Concerto (“The Only Light in the Darkness”) 10. Willing to Sacrifice (“Shadows”) 11. Alien DNA (“The Well,” “The Beginning of the End” & “Shadows”) 12. FZZT (“FZZT”) 13. Garrett (“TAHITI”) 14. Hail Hydra (“Turn, Turn, Turn”) 15. Helicopter Rescue (“The Beginning of the End”) 16. Terrigen Crystals (“Scars”) 17. Big Bang (“The Beginning of the End”) 18. The Rising Tide (“Pilot”)

I'm not sure if anyone interested has noticed, but Amazon's listing for the score shows a release date of October 21st, 2015. That's tomorrow!
