Maurice Jarre's Night of the Generals. $120 on Amazon. Re-release interest, anyone?

The bonus suite of that on Tadlow's Is Paris Burning is pretty good. Is there much more music?

And it was nice to get Barry's Jagged Edge in the end (Lone Ranger too actually).

Probably Goldsmith's MACARTHUR. Only shows up for silly money these days; I'm sure there's a good reason why it hasn't been reissued or DeLuxed.

Mr. Marshall, perhaps you are unaware that I suffer from and have been long-burdened with an incurable condition.

I am a John Williams COMPLETIST. smile

There are worse things, but that's mine. Film was not so hot. Score was fine, but not "top ten."

I would get the Intrada version of "Condorman" by Henry Mancini. I loved that score as a kid. Never knew there was an actual release until after is was OOP.

I have no idea if it is the most expensive one but I could imagine it is not cheap (but what do I know). The soundtrack I am referring to that I would love to get my hands on is Paul Koulak`s score to the TV show Fort Boyard. As far as I am it is quite rare and I am one of those who will never use eBay so that soundtrack will be my choice.

I feel that ALL CDs are expensive these days, not so much because of their price, necessarily (which has more or less stayed the same in the last two decades), but because of the exorbitant shipping costs, especially if importing from the US. Sometimes as expensive (or more expensive) as the CD itself.

I have a shortlist of CDs I need (in a day and age when I no longer buy CDs, really) for completist purposes, even if I have all of these in digital file format already:

John Williams - Goodbye Mr. Chips
John Williams - Stanley & Iris/Pete'n'Tillie

Danny Elfman - The End of the Tour
Danny Elfman - Avengers: Age of Ultron
Danny Elfman - Goosebumps
Danny Elfman - The Girl on the Train
Danny Elfman - Before I Wake
Danny Elfman - Fifty Shades Darker
Danny Elfman - Fifty Shades Freed
Danny Elfman - The Circle
Danny Elfman - Tulip Fever
Danny Elfman - Justice League
Danny Elfman - Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot
Danny Elfman - Dumbo
Danny Elfman - Eleven Eleven etc.
Danny Elfman - Men in Black International

Elliot Goldenthal - Othello Symphony
Elliot Goldenthal - Symphony in G Minor
Elliot Goldenthal - A Midsummer Night's Dream

Alan Parsons - The Secret
Rammstein - Rammstein

Of these, the two John Williamses (and especially CHIPS) are particularly expensive. The FSM CHIPS is hard to come by for a decent price, and then there's the shipping on top of that. It would probably be $50, at least, and that's far more than I can afford at the moment.

Maurice Jarre's Night of the Generals. $120 on Amazon. Re-release interest, anyone?

I doubt Sony will release it on CD, but the original album is available as Hi-Res and CD quality downloads :

There's probably nothing more in the Intrada CD since the last cue is just a suite of themes.

Who want's "downloads" ?

Most people. CD aficionados are a minority, albeit a very vocal one.

So far just Harry Potter box set from LLL. I know this set is at a fair rate but it is hard for me to spend over $100 for one purchase. Budgets, budgets. Maybe one day I can find a way.

Clearly you love CDs more than the actual music they contain. Downloads are better than a big, fat nothing. Just saying.

Hook (la la land)
Something Wicked This Way Comes (Intrada)
Gremlins 2 (Varese Deluxe)

Nothing particularly rare but I can't justify the secondary market prices for those puppies. I bought Honey I Shrunk The Kids for 60$ on ebay last year and ended up relisting it shortly after purchase. I'm much more selective with my funds these days.

Still looking for these at a reasonable price - no more than 35 dollars.

The Human Factor. Ennio Morricone. GDM 500 copies.
Tokyo Olympiad 1964. Toshiro Mayuzuni. Kronos 500 copies
