The Survivor song will not be included with this release. The contents are the same as the CD the fine folks at Intrada released almost 10 years ago. Man does time fly. I also missed out on the Intrada one for some odd reason so I will be good to see this released again. PS: I would also like to say it's nice to hear fellow fans saying, they may already own the Intrada release, but are GLAD that others that missed out on it can now finally get a copy. THAT is the kind of community I just love hearing as it's my sentiments as well. I am proudly one of those that missed it so this is a welcome addition to my "tiny" collection. See you all Monday for the release!

There are also other older Varese titles like MAD MAX or THE ROAD WARRIOR, that need re-released over the score to LOCK OUT. But, that is my opinion and no, I do not have enough money to start my own label. I will just enjoy our existing Varese collection until their next announcement.

Henry my dear friend, come back to Varese's site tomorrow for all the rest of the info and artwork and all that jazz!

Will this go on sale at midnight on 6/9 (similar to the Club releases)? Monday around 10:30 am what time for eastern time? The time I quoted is PST. So that means 7:30 am EST time right? 10:30am PACIFIC TIME (1:30pm Eastern) Ford A. Thaxton

if something is remastered I want it.And, I love disc art. I've learned the hard way over the years to be both excited and wary of remasters, which many times screw up the mix (missing instruments, truncated masters, splicing of takes incorrectly - much less so with film scores than with rock and pop (Elvis, Streisand, Rush, etc.)). After a few blunders, I've learned to buy the remaster if I want it, but to do a close comparison before getting rid of the original. In the case of Varese, I have a few of their remasters with some flaws on them - CHILDREN OF THE CORN has a wobble on one of the tracks that was not present on my vinyl, and BLUE VELVET still has an audible deficiency on the main title that is not on the European pressing (I forget which label) or on Varese's vinyl. I find their masters aren't always in perfect shape when they get a re-release. That said, I'm very excited about LOCK UP as I missed it the first go-'round.

One of the reasons I avoid the Paradise Alley-soundtrack. That's a shame. Firstly, the Tom Waits tracks are lovely, as is the score, but the Stallone vocal is in character. That song is exactly what that character would sing and how he would sound singing it. Melancholy, stark, laying it all bare.
