...Uh, yea. The show had two seasons, so Season One would be a whole lot of music (BSG ran for one season and led to a 7 disc, 4 volume set), so it's unlikely that this first BRIT25C disc will be a single disc - possible of course, but unlikely - so will this set be two, 4, 5, or might this in fact be Season One, Volume One, and that fine print is on the back? Monday evening will tell....

Wowzers!!!

Speechless (until I wrote, wowsers and speechless razz).

Two Holy Grails in one post - they've been in my Top 5 for decades!!!

Amazing news - turned a lousy day into a great one! (stuck in bed after putting my back out of wack).

THANK YOU Intrada smile

P.S. Wondering if the Buck Rogers will contain all the music for the two-parter version of of the pilot episode, being as they've already released the music from the movie version? Would love the pilot in its entirety. But this is just amazing news!

If they'd release Psycho II as well, that'd finally be IT for my Holy Grails wink

Wonder if there is a way to pick this up somewhere in the LA area prior to next weekend's LUNCH WITH STU event. Would be great for those attending to get it signed by him.

[EDIT] Done deal. It will be delivered to the lunch thanks to efforts of Mike Joffe!

Been a while since bought both Intrada releases immediately. That next time is next Tuesday.

Only way more perfect is added opening title from philips sword of justice on buck release,

For the record. Any music in "Sword of Justice" credited to Stu Phillips was library music from previous shows. ("McCloud" "Quincy" Switch")

But the real gem is the Ricahrd LaSalle Score to the first season episode "Unchained Woman" starring none other then JAMIE LEE CURTIS...

Before James Horner, there was RICHARD LASALLE....

I can't wait..

Ford A. Thaxton

Yeah, LaSalle cribbed such classic scores as Planet of the Apes for this episode. Even some of his Lost in Space music from The Derelict can be heard.

Love the music from this series!

but there's always the less-than-holy grails to pursue. It never ends....

I can't wait to buy this CD! I just hope that Andromeda's jams from "Space Rockers" are on this release. They are the most popular music group in the galaxy today.

Did someone whisper Baxter and Cacavas???

SUPERB!

Buck Rogers, Salem's Lot in one take? Unbelievable! Hoping this ushers in more 70's television scores...

Wow... I must confess, I haven't seen this series since ages, but Baxter, Cacavas and Richard LaSalle... That's a must buy for me.

I always hoped we get a complete movie soundtrack by LaSalle, but I guess this won't happen...

And deservedly so. When you put out magically funky tunes you deserve to be galactic

Are there two performances of the main theme in the first season? It feels like the last 6 pr 8 eps habe a more energetic recording.
I think it was purposely changed more substantially for the 2nd season.

Answers in the new post by Mr. Fake:

The two new releases for this coming Tuesday (October 15) have been announced. Listeners will finally have that powerhouse score for the Salem's Lot mini-series from 1979, in magnificent stereo from the multi-track masters vaulted in mint condition at Warner Bros. These elements included the handful of cues Harry Sukman scored for the re-edited feature version as well, and they also appear in this 2-CD set in stunning stereo. For fans of 3-CD sets, we also have a spaceship load of stereo music from Season One of the cult TV sci-fi series Buck Rogers, featuring exciting scores by composers such as Richard LaSalle, Stu Phillips, Les Baxter and Johnny Harris, including several versions of the theme, all presented from Universal's mint condition three-channel scoring session masters. (Watch for Season Two, with even bigger scores by Bruce Broughton and others in 2014!) Artwork and sound samples will be posted this coming Monday eve. At that time, feel free to order away!

It would appear composers such as Richard LaSalle, Les Baxter and Johnny Harris are about to become new members of my soundtrack CD collection!
I was about to add Mr Sukman, but realised he's on that FSM TV Omnibus collection, is he not?
Not that I'm complaining mind smile
