Funny, I thought Batman Forever was not as bad as all that (certainly better than Batman Returns) and the score was fun, but found B&R to be hideous (albeit funny) with a less than stellar carbon copy score of the previous film. Jupiter Ascending is a perfect example of a lacking film with an amazing score. Also 98% of Jerry Goldsmith's output fits in this criteria.

There are a few posts with Supergirl or Legend or Batman Returns included. DIS. UH. GREE. There are PLENTY of massively and exhaustively stinky pictures around (with superior scores) that are far worse than these two (which mind you, they have their flaws). My list is more of (as the topic suggests): Jaws: The Revenge Episodes I, II, III. Batman & Robin The Village Mommie Dearest The Haunting (1999, needless to say) The Towering Inferno Beyond the Poseidon Adventure When Time Ram Out The Swarm

Under Fire is an INCREDIBLE movie. I agree; UNDER FIRE belongs into a category with movies like, say, ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN etc.. I don't see how anyone would call this a "terrible" movie? In fact, when it came out in 1982 (yes, I'm old enough to remember), this was a high profile and very well reviewed movie, and in today's climate (without wanting to movie this into a political discussion) of "fake news", it remains as relevant as ever before if not more so. SOLARIS (2002) was quite good as well, though I've seen it only once when it came out. Would have to re-watch it, but I remember that I thought it was a good adaptation of the novel by Lem.

Ok, the original poster first lists The Burbs as a terrible movie, but now I see people listing Jaws The Revenge (!), are you all insane? I think maybe Jaws The Revenge was a bit ahead of its time but it is far from being terrible. It has the most intrincate plot of all series, with a bold mix of high human drama (the mother losing her son, the revenge plot both from the mother and from the shark), nail bitting suspense (what else could you expect from the director that did The Taking of Pelham 123?) and some misticism (a fresh element in the series, with the thelephatic connection between Ellen and the shark, the shark that haunts this family even in their dreams - you really feel they can not escape it), some surreal sequences (the shark kind of flying over the water in some sequences like a larger than life ghost-creature), the flashbacks highlighting the connection to first movie, Oscar worthy performances (Lorraine Garry in her best role ever, moving from dispair, to relief, to anger and to laugh in split seconds) and high production values - a real submersible, an impressive stunt of a real plane landing in the water (no CGI bullshit) and the Bahamian setting - how can that be considered a terrible movie? And the icing on the cake is the fantastic score, the fast paced Jaws theme, the tender family moments, the haunting thelephatic motive, that gives the film a dreamlike texture and makes you keep wondering when it fades to black and the lights turn on if you’ve just experienced the most intense nightmare ever (and Ellen would wake up with Martin and Sean safe at her side) or if all of that really happened. It is leagues ahead real terrible movies like the thin ploted The Meg and nonsensical things like Sharknado. There’s a reason my avatar is Jaws The Revenge! It also inspired Disney’s The Little Mermaid, that clearly copies some of its scenes, including the amazing finale - I even posted an YouTube video on this.

I can't fault you for picking the later Irwin Allen disaster films, but Inferno was an absolute classic of the genre. Sauzeech his own...
