I really enjoyed the Story of Star Wars LP when I was a kid and would definitely buy a remastered CD of it. I also liked the Saga of Battlestar Galactica with Lorne Greene's narration!

Personally, I reckon these things would sell like crazy if released on cd. They are great (yes, Galactica is terrific) but let's not forget THE BLACK HOLE too with the great artwork cover. I only found out about the TRON lp 2 years ago and was shocked as I considered myself a but of an expert in spoken word soundtracks. Downloaded it....pretty good adaptation of an extremely visual film.

Now I gotta get the Raiders and Galactica LPs! Really wish they were on CD.
I was looking around online and discovered The Story of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! It came with a 16 page booklet and was narrated by Chuck Riley. I never knew that one existed!
OK, technically not a soundtrack but it does contain bits and pieces.
Does anyone know why this was never released on CD? It was a childhood favorite of mine, and I figure the only reason could be is that we didn't have video or DVD back then and couldn't view the movie at-will like we can today. So it sort of was our only way to relive the movie when it was gone from the theater. Toby,"The Story Of Star Wars" was originally released on 20th Century-Fox Records, which was closed in 1981.Universal Music Group now owns the company's old catalog, but Fox Music owns the old Fox soundtracks,so there may be a question of conflicting album rights. Also,Disney and Lucasfilm may be involved. All of this could be why "SOSW" is still not on CD.

I had Tron (and played it into the ground). Never had The Black Hole although the John Barry score was a big hit at my house.
