A complete ST:TOS box buys a blanket indulgence for every soundtrack specialty label lasting until five years from its release date. Thanks, Lukas.

Reallly varese, after no club action for a year, you might have thrown us at least one Fox oldie as a bone for christmas !!!!! Because golden age scores are not as popular as 80s/90s scores.

I am always amazed by the pinheads on this message board who feel compelled to ridicule other members for expressing their preference for releases from a certain period, whether it is Golden or Silver Age or 80s or 90s (as it frequently is). Joe was not saying he wished ALL the Varese titles were Golden Age, just something, even one measly title. That's not whining, Lukas Kendall's snotty comment notwithstanding. Nobody was asking Varese to clean their house. All things considered, I wouldn't trust them to do a decent job of it anyway. Not til they offer replacement discs to us suckers who bought THE THORN BIRDS with the main title cue missing the critical instrumental part! Until then, they're on my "shady business" list.

It must suck to only enjoy music from one period of time. No. Just to get 5 reissues and NADA new titles. SCOTT

If you guys are gonna bitch about anything bitch about the fact they had a year to get 6 titles ready, but they are not shipping until the week of Jan 6! If you are gonna take people's money (especially before the holidays) have the courtesy of having the product in stock and ready to ship. Otherwise, wait until the New Year and start it off with a bang! MV

Considering that I just ordered Kritzerland's three releases last week, including at least two bonafide Golden Agers, I am well satisfied. And that doesn't even count Gunfight at the OK Corral. Doesn't look like a drought to me. It's cute when a scrawny little kid holds up his empty gruel bowl and asks for more. But it just ain't seemly when people who have seen a flood of releases come out month after month after month just keep saying "more is not ENOUGH!" (And that of course applies to all kinds of rants across so many of these threads.) But then, I like to talk about what strikes my fancy rather than focus on the endless possible list of things that don't or haven't or whatever 'nt.

I always think of a Richard Kraft FSM interview quote during the print days - when he was at Varese they would do a Tangerine Dream album and get letters (haha!) complaining about this synth junk, then do a Rozsa album and get more letters griping 'what's with all this old junk??' Some things never change....for those of us who like it all, we are the big winners. Besides, not like any of us don't have enough to watch or listen to these days.....

When you look at what Intrada & Kritzerland have released this year compared to Varese, then I think Varese are entitled to get a bit of flak, but they're big boys, they can take it.
