Package tracking is teasing me. According to Stamps.com they attempted delivery 3 hours ago, but I was in with my kids and certainly didn't hear the doorbell and there isn't a card in the postbox.

Oddly, DHL's tracking site (the number works on dhl.de there too, its DHL who handles the local delivery in Germany) suggest the package is still in the US.

I think when it says 'delivered' it means at your postal office; at least that happened to me, it said delivered at 07:00 at stamps.com, and the same day I got it around 10:30 delivered by the mailman.

Cheers, given it said 14:09 I guess we'll see tomorrow. To late to go out later today for delivery.

Fingers crossed.

-EDIT- 13/12

No delivery attempt today. WTH.

Somewhere out there, there's a disgruntled postal worker driving by your house and just scanning it and moving on. And laughing.

I hate the mail this time of year.
Normally LLL packages take a week to get to the UK. Still no sign.

Of course customs might have gotten their grubby little paws on it I suppose.

The U.S.Post Office is much better than Screen Archives new carrier the hybrid UPS Mail Innovations. 3 days across country when the USPS handles from beginning to end. Now with UPS Mail Innovations it travels across country in 3 days and then sits in limbo 40 miles away from my house for 4 days. The only CDs I now order from SAE are imports from Europe.

I don't mind it taking a bit longer (though 3-4 weeks gets on my nerves), but I do end up minding when tracking doesn't tell me anything useful.

The last update on Stamps.com for mine was two days ago: "ATTEMPTED DELIVERY ABROAD" but nothing since and no postcard anywhere to say there is a parcel to collect.

Thats the reason why i generally try to avoid purchasing big packages from abroad this time of year. With all the extra mail, customs tend to hold back more packages for inspection.

I got my SUPERMAN RETURNS on Thursday. I'm in the middle of a busy week, so although I made time to read the discs into my computer, I literally haven't heard a note of it yet. And I'm stuck at work again now.

I wish LLL would switch to a hard box with a bit of bubble wrap inside, the way Intrada ships. I had to replace the lid on SUPERMAN's jewel case. It had a hinge broken off. Anyway, that's taken care of and I'm eager to hear this thing.

Superman Returns sounds so good in expanded form. I'll probably do a more detailed post about it at some point, but for now I'll just mention "As Time Goes By/The Planet Krypton", "Kitty Decoy", and especially, especially, especially "Genesis Project/Like Sea Monkeys" as my favorite new tracks. I've fashioned an 80-minute album out of the score to burn and play in the car and I gotta say I'm enjoying Superman Returns more and more with each listen.

You'd think he would have autographed them in the empty space above his own credit line, instead of obliterating Superman's face. Makes me feel better about having missed out on the autograph :-)

I dont really mind.. when you have to sign up some 450+ booklets you could loose some focus. Iam very grateful to have it. I also have the OST personally dedicated and signed booklet by John Ottman (see below) and he took extra care to use the space then. The above doesn't ruin anything for me. Iam quite content here.

I actually waited a bit to ensure that I wouldn't get an autographed one. None of my CDs are autographed by anybody.

The autographed booklets come separately, so the original booklet in the CD is untouched and still sealed when it arrives.
I ordered a copy of Police Academy for a friend and that arrived with an extra booklet autographed by Mr. Folk. That one was very neat and tidy.
But with many autographed booklets I've seen, they look more vandalized than signed.
